Well looks like I am in a very small minority of posters who dislike this competition.
Will not be changing my mind, as long as there are two man teams in it and the format is changed.

Think the pdc are out there looking for the next Germany. Spread the net wide and see what catches. If they get investment from a couple of Asian countries of say £500,000 that could be another 4/5 euro tour style events or concert the current WSOD into full ranking

It's pdc........
We go through this every year, it's the worst tournie in darts because it proves there is no strength in depth in the pdc, a comp where only 2 "countries" can even compete {placeholder for someone to mention a one off}, inviting random players to make up the numbers.
So many very poor players getting thrashed is not interesting, close games are.
The only real interest is the selection because of all the politics.

And to think there is only 8 different countries with a player in the current top 16 and 5 in the top 8 of the PDC order of merit

You can say that about any TV darts event anywhere, the eventual winners are 99% from the same 2 or 3 countries. Does that mean it should all be abandoned lol?

The English, Scottish, Dutch and Australian pairs this year should all be very close.

That doesn't even address the points.

But you love everything PDC, you BDO hater ;-)

Completely pointless tournament for the Major nations, the smaller nations have the chance to make a story for themselves(in their own country).

Format change for me would be to add a women into the mix.

adding women into it would make it an even worse tourney

apart from england holland russia, maybe wales and and australia, theres even less depth in the womens game.

A former mod said over the road you identify yourself as Irish.
Which btw I thought was complete bull.

Your thoughts are entirely accurate. I am 100% Scottish, and am proud to be so.

Think someone is on the total wind up, as I have never, and would never identify myself as being connected in any way to being Irish. :DDD:

Being as you articulate it was a former mod, and wasn't you, can only presume it must have been Col, deliberately taking the piss out of the gullible.

Which forum was this on, and which idiots fell for this, as I will have a look and give myself a good laugh.

Oh and did any of said idiots respond with photoshopped pictures of me with Glitter and Saville. :DDD:

They are dart players, take your blinkers off.
You can all have my word now, it's never been our intention to take over the BDO, we have no intention of taking over the BDO,
