China are having there own qualifier then there’s the top 2 from each nation off the PDC Asian tour table probably Japan, phillipines, Hong Kong and South Korea.
Yes all confirmed on PDC website.phil davies wrote:How have they decided these as surely mad Vlad and I believe possibly some other Danes should be above Primdal from the rankings from this years events?
Also Lithuania should be in this rather than Denmark or Sweden.
I think Phil means how has Primdal been selected when there are at least 2 other Danish players above him in the OOM, unless they have based it on a rolling table (doubt it) which I can't be bothered to research. Basically the rankings are worthless when it comes to World Cup selection, the current top player won't even feature. At least now Labanauskas can go to the World Trophy insteadmalcy93 wrote:Yes all confirmed on PDC website.phil davies wrote:How have they decided these as surely mad Vlad and I believe possibly some other Danes should be above Primdal from the rankings from this years events?

There are 6 other Danish players ahead of him in the PDCNB ranking for 2018 so far, but as they've based it on the last 12 months Primdal is in, as despite only making one quarter final he cashed in the last 6 Pro Tour events of 2017. It's an absolute travesty that he gets the place though, it's detrimental to Denmark's chances this year and might even cause Denmark not to get a spot next year unless they expand the field. I think Lithuania with Labanauskas/Barauskas were more deserving to get the spot, even this year.
Couldn’t disagree more the World Cup has been one of the main reasons the game is becoming more global each year. It’s a chance for the smaller nations to get a bit of experience on the main stage.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.
A waste of time.
But would that not make the bigger countries more likely to win and see less smaller nations cause upsets.oche balboa wrote:Have less countries and more players in each country
I think the Paul Lim games last year were the most exciting PDC games I've watched.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.

I like it. get to see players we don't often see in a different format to normal The Canadian team last year was very weak with Part well out of form and Norman Jnr looked out of his depth but they were the only 2 Canadian players in the PDC. I assume this year it will be Part who looks in much better form now and Dawson Murschell is an up and coming youngster.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.

Yes because that will be TV friendly wont it.nikkiboy wrote:I think the Paul Lim games last year were the most exciting PDC games I've watched.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.

I think a format change would be in order, maybe add a lady player into the mix and have six singles and one three a side.
Yeh get Paula Jacklin in the team with Cross + whoever.Ginge wrote:Yes because that will be TV friendly wont it.nikkiboy wrote:I think the Paul Lim games last year were the most exciting PDC games I've watched.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.

It'd make for an exciting tournament and would tick the gender box for the PDCCanuck_bully wrote:Yeh get Paula Jacklin in the team with Cross + whoever.Ginge wrote:Yes because that will be TV friendly wont it.nikkiboy wrote:I think the Paul Lim games last year were the most exciting PDC games I've watched.BlueSpark wrote:This competition is absolutely worthless and boring imo.

Defo agree with this. It's getting more interesting each year. Defo should all be pairs though.phil davies wrote:Personally love this tournament though I agree it should just be pairs throughout.
It’s great to see new players and nations and has provided some great shocks and other moments down the years.
Who is making them tick a gender box?nikkiboy wrote: It'd make for an exciting tournament and would tick the gender box for the PDC
