Anyway, no doubting Gary Anderson is by far the best player in the world right now - he’s won everything he has never won this year so all competitors in the Grand Prix and Grand Slam might as well not bother going!

Wright getting blown away, and Gary up for this.

Can tell by the Anderson stare that he wants to smash Peter.

Not exactly blown away, but yep think Ando wants this bad.
And I would imagine the Semi took a lot out of Wright.

Beg to differ Chris. 11-4 is a hammering.

Came back on stage after the 1st break smiling and that is not when Gary is at his best, but after an indifferent couple of legs, got back to the snarl.

Have been subject to the Ando stare in the past, and you know when he has the hump.

Gary has now won the UK Open, The Matchplay and the Champions League of Darts, with MVG only winning the PL out of the first 4 big tournaments this season.

He is definitely the form player going into the Grand Prix, and I have a feeling that he will progress to the semis with MVG already being out of the competition.

Congratulations once more Gary Anderson, marvellous all weekend and thoroughly deserving of his win. Player of the year so far without a doubt, if you exclude Euro events of course!

Peter Wright so impressive, his usual consistent self - 101.77 in a thrashing of Cross, 101.46 with 78% on doubles against van Gurner, couldn't quite recouperate in time for the final. 22 minutes between matches, where the first game took an hour is not fair in my book but scheduling is scheduling!
