An idea from The Boss:

Why not make the WORLD DARTS TROPHY a lesser version of the GSOD . Invite the top 8 challenge tour players into the event . Enlarge the field obviously and leave the qualifiers to the players who play within the BDO system ie superleague , BICC , etc . Just a thought .

You can speculate on what the "S" in GSOD would stand for in this. Sounds like Bigworm's Summer Slam thing.

You've got to admire the man's ambition, willing to test himself against the best of the Challenge Tour.

In all fairness he's at least trying to come up with something to add interest to the WDT. I doubt CT players would raise the appeal whatsoever, but giving the tournament something unique surely is better than what the BDO is doing now "Maybe the same thing will work the fifth time, but with a different location!".

Big fall from grace for Andy Hamilton - was always a nailed on top 16 player for years, then the form/confidence disappeared almost overnight.

I would like to see him regain his A-Game, was great to watch when on his game.

What is Mark Walsh doing these days too? Another who, for a while, seemed to get to every pro-tour semi/final.
