Was always going to get some coverage , would expect promotion of event on local radio, TV and press from weekend onwards , heartening signs of togetherness with Des's approach to England and I'm sure we will help Des out when possible . Schedule needs put out asap as well should boost ticket sales .
Any luck?

I am sure the BDO and many other professional sports promoters are chomping at the bit to get the PR skills of the EDO on board.
Just one look at their portfolio of produced events is enough to make the NFL & Premier wish they could use them for sure.

Great response, Paul. Does it not worry you that having the schedule out has resulted in barely any extra sales?

Will be soul destroying for the players, yet again, to be playing in front of very few people.

Very soul destroying Ginge .
But can’t take El Bingo seriously , with our limited funds at England , we have had some reasonable sponsors over the years with Bunn Leisure , Grosvenor Casinos, Poker Stars ,EY Events , have alwaysstreamed our Events , had some TV not the most high profile in Frontrunner , but hopefully Freesports is a step up from that and have had 3 Events on Eurosport .
Can’t run an event that loses money ! And at the meeting to hear of the BDO losses at Events and think what we could have used that money for .
We take a lot of criticism but constantly try our best to raise our profile , with to date no cooperation from our “ governing body” .

Well this was how the sales stood on the 29th April (over 3 weeks ago and before the draw was made):
Wed = 5
Thu = 12
Fri = 4
Sat afternoon =
Sat eve = 35
Sun aft = 6
Sun eve = 11
Not doing them all but Wednesday has gone up to a measly 23, and the final has gone up to 14.

Yes, thats right, THREE table tickets sold by the Guild Hall in three and a half weeks for the final

Even more pathetic and dire than in previous years.

Oche, I see you lurking, maybe put that on Twitter :D

Which i have done (Not today but will) 2 people spoke to me at the Welsh and said they had no idea about ticket sales until i mentioned it on Twitter

The BDO have had some more than reasonable sponsors over the years from Butlins, Embassy, Double Diamond etc etc which on a corporate level are way beyond anything the EDO have ever managed to attract so by your reasoning they are and have been a roaring success beyond criticism and reproach but as we know this isn't the case. All that matter is what is relevant now what sponsors you have and how much pounds schillings and pence they bring to the table and in the EDO it can't be a lot or else England might have had a team at the recent World Cup would they not ?

Having seen the EDO events on the TV the only good point of them I would draw is that having been on an obscure satellite channel that received barely any publicity the viewing public were spared having to endure watching a load of badly amateurish produced car crash(sic) TV.

You may find it more advantageous not to mention these poor attempts at broadcasting when pitching to any new investors or sponsors in the hope they don't seek out any coverage to view and see what their name is going to end up begin associated with.

You could of used that money to send a Team to the last world cup like you did with the contribution the BDO offered you. When you have shunned, embarrassed and devalued the Worlds Governing Body premier event by failing to ensure the defending champions took part thru sheer and utter business incompetence why do you think anyone should give you any cooperation ?

Yes we could have used the money the BDO threw away on loss making Events .
Or better still topped it up with the money Scotland and Wales got to play in the event for directly scheduled against the World Cup .

If all this wasn’t so bloody sad it would be a joke - yet again.

What the hell has happened/is happening to the BDO?

With every turn it seems to reach lower depths.
