The rules would look plain bizarre if he has qualified as of right. It's clearly an error in them, though.
No I read it as an event rule 3(b) on WDT rules
BDO inv criteria rules are different so able to play in A+ , A's or any other Wes played Scotland and IOM , Dean IOM
Nah, the only thing that would make Wes/Dean et al ineligible now is if they played in a Pro Tour (or a ET?).
They are both shit so it's irrelevant wether they play or not.
You can all have my word now, it's never been our intention to take over the BDO, we have no intention of taking over the BDO,

So why is it only an issue seemingly for one darts organisation? You get round it, World Snooker get round it, no doubt others get round it.

It's all very odd.

Indeed, one gets around it by banning all kids all the time, but that's ok.

As opposed to you who run a very successful self promotion organization .

Lots of football teams are sponsored by beer companies and betting firms yet many 17 year old players still play for them and wear the shirt

Deans confirmed he spoke with the BDO and they have said the rules are wrong and its only tour card holders not allowed to play.

You would think someone would fucking proof read articles before they are posted.

Rule 3(b) has seemingly been in since 1st WDT , I suppose with PDC saying all CT players are associate members and pro tour reserves picked from CT oom and not QS IOM it's muddied the waters , can see rule being reworded .

The BDO board couldn't run a bath, they can't even get the easy things right. The sooner a new board is in place the better, but if it is run by Des Selecta then God help them.

If they constantly get the basics of the rules wrong then them stepping down is a wise move.

In term of ticket sales this will be a fiasco.

The general public simply do not know or recognise the top BDO players these days. This event is for die hards only and we all know what happened last year.

A Facebook group with 5000 members who call themselves "fanatics" showed exactly how "fanatical" they really are.

The BDO has lost the TV battle to the PDC and it's a vicious circle. No TV coverage = unknown players = no public interest = no TV coverage.
