Well this was how the sales stood on the 29th April (over 3 weeks ago and before the draw was made):
Wed = 5
Thu = 12
Fri = 4
Sat afternoon =
Sat eve = 35
Sun aft = 6
Sun eve = 11
Not doing them all but Wednesday has gone up to a measly 23, and the final has gone up to 14.

Yes, thats right, THREE table tickets sold by the Guild Hall in three and a half weeks for the final

Even more pathetic and dire than in previous years.

Oche, I see you lurking, maybe put that on Twitter :D

This is going to be car crash viewing.
Why would people go to Skiddle when they have been able to go to the box office for weeks and this was the only method of buying tickets on the flyer.

So there are currently 14 people attending the final.
Meanwhile, over 3 weeks ago more than 60 people had paid money to attend the Welsh ballet thing on the same night.
Unbelievable (except it isn't really, is it?)

Not quite, hundreds of people may have used Skiddle or booked the slightly cheaper tickets right back in the stands :DDD: :DDD:

Well no one has a seat on tables 1 or 4 for the first session as it stands, that is for sure.
It's going to look great.

You can't say that, it may turn out to be a great tournament visually and quality wise.

Ticket sales are very poor so far but be prepared for the late flurry

Indeed, now Skiddle are involved I imagine they can't keep up with the demand, just like what happened when the schedule was released. Oh, hang on....

Its much worse than it was for the Welsh cinema 8 days before the event, if I recall correctly. And this is a much bigger room.

Did the adverts get on local TV and radio, then? :fishing

Yes, sorry.
It's going to be a resounding success, what was I thinking.
The last two finals have been epic viewing.

Have they bothered advertising outside of Preston yet?
Desperate stuff so far, utterly incompetent.

Didn't clip the apex going into the chicane.
Would have pissed it otherwise.

I wouldnt worry, the big name sponsor being announced in the next few days will 100%, without a doubt, be covering all the costs of this event.

Not paying for advertising but they are on my local darts Facebook group posting the schedule and asking for people to buy tickets

5 days laters, zero likes zero comments.

They might as well bite the bullet and bolt on the World Trophy to the Turkish Open.

Was always going to get some coverage , would expect promotion of event on local radio, TV and press from weekend onwards , heartening signs of togetherness with Des's approach to England and I'm sure we will help Des out when possible . Schedule needs put out asap as well should boost ticket sales .
Any luck?

I am sure the BDO and many other professional sports promoters are chomping at the bit to get the PR skills of the EDO on board.
Just one look at their portfolio of produced events is enough to make the NFL & Premier wish they could use them for sure.
