They thought he was from the forum because they had the misfortune to be sharing a table with 6 of them (with the other 10 on the adjacent table).ifm wrote:So a guy not from forums was thrown out not for jumping on stage but because he was near some folk from forums?Ginge wrote:Erm no, this guy only got thrown out once it was spotted which table he went back to, there was no issue until then.ifm wrote:So basically someone should have been thrown out for jumping on stage other than that nobody was threatened or thrown out because of forums or WW.

Yes 4 young solicitors, first time at Lakeside and probably their last. No need for them to be thrown out, the chap apologised then the bouncer returned and told him he'd had to go......nice couple of chicaticas with them as well. Come to think of it that two years running the table next to ours has got evicted.nikkiboy wrote:Something that Paddy pointed out, I think these people were solicitors and two guys two girls, al he did was jump on the stage when it was empty, security were happy just to tell him off - until the tournament director saw which table he went and sat back down at lol.markymark wrote:Jackie the Hat should have been banned for jumping on stage when players were on there!ifm wrote:So basically someone should have been thrown out for jumping on stage other than that nobody was threatened or thrown out because of forums or WW.

Tight fekkers still wouldn't turn up, they talk like fanatics but wait for freebies before supporting the organisation they are fanatical about.markymark wrote:Preferably free.Zapp Brannigan wrote:How cheap do they want it, isnt it only a tenner already?

It is the problem with that side of the divide, they all want something for nothing.nikkiboy wrote:Tight fekkers still wouldn't turn up, they talk like fanatics but wait for freebies before supporting the organisation they are fanatical about.markymark wrote:Preferably free.Zapp Brannigan wrote:How cheap do they want it, isnt it only a tenner already?
The majority of the masters audience is just freebies and Lakeside used to be the same with Players guests and officials.
If your target audience (the self proclaimed fanatics and biggest followers of the BDO) arnt willing to pay £10 for a ticket then you either need to find a new target audience or accept your target audience isnt interested in these kind of events.

I still maintain they offer free tickets for the back rows to students unions and colleges, fill the place up and hopefully get people hooked for next year.Zapp Brannigan wrote:It is the problem with that side of the divide, they all want something for nothing.nikkiboy wrote:Tight fekkers still wouldn't turn up, they talk like fanatics but wait for freebies before supporting the organisation they are fanatical about.markymark wrote:Preferably free.Zapp Brannigan wrote:How cheap do they want it, isnt it only a tenner already?

The same demographic who have been already taken in by the bright lights of the PDC and see this kind of darts as "old man darts", yes?nikkiboy wrote:I still maintain they offer free tickets for the back rows to students unions and colleges, fill the place up and hopefully get people hooked for next year.Zapp Brannigan wrote:It is the problem with that side of the divide, they all want something for nothing.nikkiboy wrote:Tight fekkers still wouldn't turn up, they talk like fanatics but wait for freebies before supporting the organisation they are fanatical about.markymark wrote:Preferably free.Zapp Brannigan wrote:How cheap do they want it, isnt it only a tenner already?

Probably be a pound a pint in Reflex that evening, rather than £4.50 at the Guild Hallnikkiboy wrote:Well yes but the bar take will increase and so will the atmosphereGinge wrote:The same demographic who have been already taken in by the bright lights of the PDC and see this kind of darts as "old man darts", yes?nikkiboy wrote:I still maintain they offer free tickets for the back rows to students unions and colleges, fill the place up and hopefully get people hooked for next year.Zapp Brannigan wrote:It is the problem with that side of the divide, they all want something for nothing.nikkiboy wrote: Tight fekkers still wouldn't turn up, they talk like fanatics but wait for freebies before supporting the organisation they are fanatical about.

The BDO are only interested in attracting "proper" darts fans remember.
They have no interest in appealing to the sort of hooligan who might see having a pint and enjoying themselves as a pre-requisite for a night out.
