In the last 8 days, a grand total of TWO have been sold, on one of the front tables.
So THIRTEEN sold in total in the last 2 weeks

Hold on. Yesterday I was told sales were steady at the box office! 2 in a week is steady sales for the final! The bdo need to put these on sale about 3 yrs before the event to get a good crowd!

Thank goodness for that poster I saw. It could have been worse!

on a serious point. Could poor ticket sales lead to this being cancelled? Or is it a case a group/person hire the venue and pay up front and thus the guild hall couldn't care less if no one there?

Maybe the guild hall figure beer sales into how much they charge folk?

I would guess the venue will staff the bars accordingly based on the number of tickets sold but other than that I bet they won't care less.

It's another multi thousand pound loss maker, no amount of Des Selectas A4 laminated posters in charity shops and Taxi ranks can save this debacle, the paying public are not interested in BDO darts.

For the Sunday evening final? Sparky didn't count all 7 sessions. Nobody fed him info; he went on the website and counted how many tickets were left on each table
The count also doesn't take into account the stands which are free seating and is impossible to count. Hence why the game was just table seats

Personally you would be an idiot to book a table seat. Just book the cheap seats and on the night they will be asking everyone to move forward to make it look better.

I thought it was a bit unfair that me and Sparky were only looking at the final session - on a Sunday night when people will be at home sorting the kids out for school etc...

So I looked at the Saturday night.

31 sales on the table seats. Pathetic and dire.

Well Thursday (it is in that night isn't it?) and Friday will have lots of family and friends buying when schedule known.
