The Counties will be back in action this week as the 2017/2018 British Inter-County Championship's near their conclusion.

Yorkshire currently sit 53 points clear in the Premier Division, but will face tough opposition this weekend in their 'War of the Roses' clash with second place Lancashire, who still have a game in hand. At the other end of the table, Devon, Cambridgeshire and West Midlands will all be hoping for a good result in their quest to avoid relegation.

Division One is currently headed by Cornwall, who look set to return back to the premier, closely followed by Oxfordshire, but with Essex, Northamptonshire and Gwent still to play an additional fixture, there could be a battle to see who secures second place. Surrey and Durham are in the relegation spots, with Surrey 19 points adrift from eighth place London.

With a 23-point lead, Sussex appear to have secured top spot with one game to go. Suffolk are currently sitting in second place, however with six teams in Division Two still with two games remaining, it could go down to the wire to see who tops the table and gains promotion. Northumberland are sat firmly in tenth, but with only 13 points separating Kent, Cleveland and Gwynedd, this weekend's results will prove pivotal in their fight to avoid a return to Division Three.

Some outstanding results from Berkshire this season sees them comfortably topping Division Three as they take on seventh place Derbyshire this weekend. With only 13 points between them, Humberside play host to second place Montgomery and Radnor in a match which could decide who finishes second. Merseyside appear to be safe in fourth, but with only 10 points between fifth place Gloucestershire and tenth place Tyne and Wear, teams will have everything to play for this weekend to avoid finishing in the bottom two.

Buckinghamshire and Somerset look set to gain promotion in Division Four, but with Breconshire only one point behind in third place, a good result for them could put them in with a fighting chance.

In the Scottish North, Grampian have run away with the league, and are set to be champions with a game in hand. Highland, who have completed all their games, look likely to secure second place, although a good result from Fife's match at the weekend could see them edged out.

Barring any disasters, Borders and Ayrshire both look set to take first and second position respectively in the Scottish South Division. Greater Glasgow are sat in third, but are 20 points adrift of Ayrshire, with both teams due to play one more fixture.

I had no idea what it was referring to. Is there another typo in the opening post he would have picked up on?

There are a few, mostly commas when not needed and of course the word "place" instead of "placed".

Didn't know that but what does moving to Yorkshire have to do with joining the PDC?

Think it was to do with he ran the cleveland super league and some other cleveland stuff and he thought if he was going to the PDC he wouldnt have the time so part of the reasoning of going to Yorkshire was playing the odd game for them when he wasnt busy with PDC stuff. He talked about it in one of his interviews last year.

now hes staying in the BDO hes going back to helping out with the Cleveland leagues again because he has the time.
