Veenstra, De Vos, Cameron, Widmayer, and the Turkish lad all turned down invites it seems

O’Shea, Unterbuchner, Edwards, Day & Telnekes all took their places

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the big mistake on the bdo website

Seems the prospect of no TV is happening

I don’t know how they are going to organise the schedule. Theirs 2 sessions for finals day. Will anyone have an idea
First round split over three nights (8 matches on each, 6M2W on one night and 5M3W on the other two nights)

Second round split over both Saturday sessions with ladies QF split also them also

Men's QF on Sunday afternoon along with ladies SF

Men's SF and Final on Sunday night along with Ladies final.

Maybe.
That how I would split it if was played over 4 days it just means 1st 2 session to long 12 matches over 6 .5 hours

On bdo website Scot Mitchell got Dutch flag next to his name in draw tv was sorted on week of event last year I

And who is this mysterious Asian qualifier Scott will be playing? You'd think they'd know by now!

Has the "Asian Qualifier" been advertised anywhere? Assuming thats what they mean by "qualifier": there is a one-off event to determine it.

A N. American player would spend on
Air, Hotel, F&B, Lost wages would exceed £1,600. A Semi final finish would net a profit of £400

not worth the risk

Same expenses to Germany for the PDC World Cup and winning just 1 round would net a profit of £2,400

Very good point, can't see how they could address it though other than losing more money sticking the prize fund up.

Isn't it common knowledge that the BDO paid N. American players airfare and hotel for this event and Lakeside previously.
Last year was the 1st time we were expected to foot the bill ourselves

The only reason the Aussie players are there is because Darts Australia are footing the bill. Just a shame that it has to be like this.

It's named, and branded, as the WORLD Trophy. Not good if the intertidal qualifiers are turning down the invites.
