I wonder if he plays the oceanics too? What if he wins the tournament and can´t enter UK for the world champs due to visa issues? Will the runner-up get his spot? Or is it one more pdpa qualifier?
He is already qualified for the worlds via the pro tour. Wether or not he can get a visa in time however is a diffrent matter
Oh, didnt think about that… But anyway: What happens with his spot in Ally Pally if he doesnt get a visa?
Matthew Edgar is first reserve for Ally Pally I believe
Is this definitely correct? How is it worked out pls?
It’s via his qualification method so as qualified via Pro Tour OOM it’s the next non qualified player down that OOM.

It seems as if there is some progress about the visa issues.

Cadbys facebook says something about "Excited to be back on the English soil"

He's probably robbing the British Embassy in Canberra.

In the book "Fear and Loathing on the Oche " Cadby talks about being in prison and the road he went down with his brothers and how meeting his girlfriend now wife helped him turn his life around....

I am all in favour of him being given a chance..he is one of the best talents I've ever seen and he openly admits how his life was but everybody deserves a second chance in life...

If he’s got a visa why did he pull out of the World Championship ?

Not pulling out was the dumbest thing his dad ever did, maybe he doesn't want to make the same mistake?

Timing?

Looking at the calendar, it's Worlds, nothing, Q school, nothing, lots of stuff.

He might have felt it'd be better to skip the worlds, enjoy Christmas with his wife, then come over when the 2019 season really begins in earnest.

There are some Aussie speedway riders who had to sit out all of 2018 in England who have now got visas for 2019 and signed deals....so things may be moving ?

I don't think he's anything special at all.Another shout n scream merchant who tries intimidating his opponent.

Over £54,000 in the period since getting his tour card in January, which he got on day 1 , to the UK Open would suggest otherwise....I think he's a fantastic player and potentially a phenomenal player

... who won a UK Open qualifier and reached a quarter final of another, reached the UK Open final, and won a Players. In 5 weeks.

If you post on a forum you should expect that people will discuss your post. That's the point of a forum.

I think his record from such a brief (5 week) spell on the tour at the beginning of 2018 suggests that he'd be more than a journeyman.

Define special.

He can obviously play good darts but so can anyone on the tour and the challenge/develop tours. Stage persona stinks and feel he drags players into scraps ala Price.. TBF Price has started to really play well on tv and maybe doesn't need the antics now? Will be interesting to see how Cadby does progress either way
