Didn't move to where the big crowds are. He needs to get over it. He made the choice to play in front of the wdt size of crowds.
Exactly, not as if he isn't used to it, the crowd at the last Masters and the Welsh cinema were equally as pitiful.

Most over rated album in history !!

Durrant is always pretty honest...if I was him I'd forget my BDO for Life pledge...I think he said it to take away the constant speculation anyway...he'll play Lakeside now without the constant rumours and I still think he may switch at some point...he'd be totally mad not to and it's obvious he wants to..

Duzza is genuinely sound, but he must be regretting staying in the BDO.

Look at the OOM just to see what players like Darren Webster (for example) have made in the last 2 years just in prize money.

Glen made an error by not jumping ship.

U2's later stuff, post The Joshua Tree is largely awful.

I think Mac Elkin will still be encouraging him to make the leap.

All I want for Xmas is a Dukla Prague away strip. Great track.

So does anyone think McGeeney would tear up any trees in the PDC?

Duzza did say in his words at lakeside ‘sadly’ he’s BDO for life.

Going to see Half Man Half Biscuit ..again...in November....great band and getting better..

I think the new World Championship criteria with 32 Pro Tour qualifiers is going to make quite a few think...and surely Durrant is one.....
I'm not sure about McGeeney..but I do think he's made a leap in the past few months and he'd do ok..

McGeeney would be a top 20 player - Maybe top 10 if he found his feet in the PDC - It takes a few years for BDO players to get used to the PDC system - Look at MVG and Buntin - Same with the PDC players when they switch back to the BDO - I havent seen Kev McDine or Co Stompe cleaning up BDO events -

Pure guesswork. He would have to improve an awful lot to reach that level though. Its possible he could but future top 10 players who are ex BDO are
far more likely to come from younger players who have more room to improve.

Duzza's BDO for life so stop your whinging............I see there's still a big demand for BDO players to break up the monotony.....

In the pub I play for one of the lads wives works for an events company and she was given 4 tickets for the Saturday evening session for the WDT. Unfortunately he couldn't make it so he offered them to the lads in the pub for free, when no one took him up on the offer he then put it on our leagues Facebook page and then shared it on his own wall and still no one took them. Its a sad state of affairs really and at this point I don't see how it can get any better.

Probably shows promotion is only half the problem. The other half of the problem is people quite simply don't want to watch that pool of players when there is another better pool of players (overall) on the go. No level of promotion is going to change that.

No, news from here has probably filtered through and the negativity is enough to put folk off going for fear of being a laughing stock.
