Does that mean the two lady qualifiers get more for turning up here than winning at Lakeside?

Barry should spice it up for the ladies and any qualifyier winner by also offering them a bonus for any sets won

So a day after the end of a BDO major tournament where the entire crowd for each session could have arrived on a single decker bus, the PDC announce an expansion to their World Championship in part due to the ever increasing demand for tickets from the darting public.

Say what you like about Hearn, but his trolling is second to none.

Excellent news. Very pleased to see the breadth of the international qualifiers. Including top 32 from pro tour means there is no excuses if you miss out now. Additional sessions and interesting point made regarding re-selling of tickets - seems no more Viagogo.

The gulf widens...

Good to see an already diluted first round increase in size.

Missed the thing about Viagogo.

One less thing for Rout to seethe about.

Bloody hell, raising the bar again!

Two lady spots does make it interesting with regards eligibility for Lakeside etc.

But it does mean another chance for the Ladies with the PDC, they have to make it count this time!

with more Pro tour qualifiers I dont think they make up the numbers tbh. It is a truly global World Championships. 3 N American places as well I notice.

The differences between the two championships on every level is now quite staggering.

Don't think special ladies qualifiers are a great addition to be honest, but other than that fantastic news! An even greater expansion than I had anticipated.

the ladies will add a bit of interest in the early extra sessions they are having to create. I doubt they will have any problem selling the tickets. One session of the Worlds is probably more tickets than the BDO has sold outside Lakeside for the last 10 years lol

I do hope that the top BDO ladies go to the qualifiers - Lisa Ashton and Anastasia/Lorraine/Fallon would be great additions to this

I will still make slight changes I would have top 28 pro tour then top 4 Euro table for players who just play euro tour if Lisa or Fallon get uk woman place that be tricky draw for a few
