Think it was someone asking why as Russian ain’t in the UK qualifiers but in the rest of the World.

If that’s aimed at me then I’m sorry it was a silly question given Ana lives in the UK and I don’t know the eligibility rules!
Eligibility is all done on being a passport holder of the country rather than just residency
Ok so some players could choose either UK or RoW hence why I asked the question and didn’t expect a ‘funny’ reply from BC!
Yes some could choose and I saw it was a topic of conversation on the CDC Facebook pages. It didn't seem it had been made clear as to what/who was included where. Some players also have dual nationality so do they have to declare they are American or Canadian and at what point?

Not necessarily because the bigger the field the lesser the qualiy, that's unavoidable but the PDC and Sky are clever enough to work the schedule so that we don't get two or three potentially poor games together.

It is an interesting point given all matches are played on the same stage unlike say Wimbledon with far more competitors but played on many courts. Wonder if they keep expanding or if this doesn’t work out so well will they have to use another stage at Ally Pally as they do at Minehead??

I think they shouldn't expand it any further now, 96 competitors is more than enough. The quality in the early rounds might suffer a bit but overall this shouldn't hurt the event too much. Using another stage would be a step backwards, which I don't think the PDC wants to undertake.
Yes the event would lose something for players if qualifying for the WC didnt guarantee you a TV game. Cant imaging Sky would want darts on two channels.

Sounds fair enough but the quality wouldn't be diluted that much if you went to 128 and everyone played first round as you would have a PDC top 64 player in every first round game.

Problem is adding sessions. I can see why they are happy to add the sessions they have as its peak christmas night out territory. You add another 5/6 sessions with nothing games and your suddenly going to see a very empty area
