Moonie is right, if PDC players were not allowed to enter any BDO sanctioned event then there would be no grey areas, you have two choices to chose from but you can't have both.

But you talk as if the BDO has an alternative tour, it no longer has that as the video and monitary evidence from the WDT shows. It has lost the war, it is now akin to that Japanese soldier found on that pacific island still fighting but blissfully unaware that the war ended years ago and they lost.

That's because it has been weak allowing it's players to drift over willy nilly. If they had been strong they would be in a better position now.

The BDO continue to make decisions which are both inept and out of touch with the current spectrum of the darts world.

Rather than try to threaten players with sanctions should they try to better themselves and provide an income from the sport, wouldn't they profit by having a non exclusive attitude and welcoming players who fail to achieve in the PDC back to the fold.

Personally I would abolsh the Lakeside contracts and the restrictions of trade and let the players go down the avenue they want. For instance if I had anything to do with the BDO I would welcome decent players like Cammy and Jamie Hughes back into the fold, and would have had no issue with Durrant going to School.

Commercially this would have made complete sense.

You don't threaten anyone, you just have clear rules so every player know where he stands. At the end of the day the chose is theres.

since when you need power for serving amateur darts world wide? its a federation, nothing else...can you imagine that not everbody can play within the pdc system? leagues around the world in the national federations are not the business from the PDC and the BDO dont care about foreigners...WDF gives structure to the Darts worldwide.. and if a player who starts in that system somewhere in the world thinks hes good enough then hes going to the pros and plays PDC tourneys...and if he cant compete there he quits the darts or hes playing again in the league at home as the 99% of players worldwide doing...

The 8 GSOD places are at the discretion of the BDO in an attempt to get the most competitive players representing their organisations.

If and when any lady player reaches that standard, then it might be a relevant point, however given where they are currently, your statement is moot.

WDF was irrelevant before the PDC was created, it is even more irrelevant now. It does nothing for National Dart Organisations worldwide and they don't need it to. The rest of your post is gibberish.

Actually the PDC.

If the PDC decide they dont want them there is nothing the bdo can do
Its the PDC comp, they hold all the main cards.

But the point remains why can they go to the GSoD for a payday
Why can others go to the challenge tour
Why can guys like darius enter euro tours
but the women not allowed to use a chance they are given ?

For the record I dont care either way as be it bdo women or unknown asian women or whatever wont add anything other than publicity to the comp

I would guess CT players will not be banned by the BDO this year as if they start that they will have to do it across the world. Don't think they can ban players who have played in the PDC system from entering BDO ranked events in other countries.

They could in theory find it easier to impose a ban on all associate members quicker.

Best thoughts would be to just ban players who qualify for the PDC worlds as and when it happens.
