The security firm should be sacked on the spot..fancy not checking all entrances for any wasps sneaking in..it's just not on that..disgraceful !

Trina Gulliver does seem to be struggling with the punditry. Seems very nervous and contributing very little. Asked about how she things the O’Connor-Meuwisse game might go- ‘erm er well, erm dunno really’.

This one has to go to Clemens. Can't see Kirk winning the way he plays now.

Yeah, to be a pundit (not necessarily a good one) you just need to go ahead and say something even if its obvious. Maybe Bobby George could give her some pointers, something like "well if O'Conner scores well and hits his doubles he'll win, otherwise he won't"

The secret is to say something / make an observation that the general viewer will not be aware off or may have missed you need to add to the pictures, or at least do that every 3 rd sentence, problem now is a lot of former players (most sports) think they can breeze into the seat & off we go, mason & part in darts, shearer in soccer they add to the pictures,

Indeed, I am starting to wonder if she’s had any proper training or just been allowed to have at it. Surely she’ll have been given a bit beforehand.

I think Sky have just thought they have some ladies playing now so who is the most well known player out there who is not playing..seen a 10 time world champ and just asked her to do it...they do like a name at Sky but that doesn't always make a good pundit..and so far Trina has not been a good pundit....I assume she'll be gone once Ana has gone..

Not watching but keeping up with results on livescore, are the matches as awful as the one sided and woeful averages suggests?
Thinking of one.

I’ll call it now, my view is Lorraine Winstanley would have been great on this, insightful knowledgeable, ok nomajors to boast about at bottom of the screen & sky like there winners, but hey ho mardle keeps a job,

I can’t see Lorraine being any better Trina is only there because of what she’s done in the past on the board in the women’s game and because the women are represented this world championship, Lorraine’s commentary would be no better just my opinion.

I don't know. Winstanley must be doing something to fill all the time she's not practising. Maybe she watches a lot of darts.

Good recovery from Chisnall. He still gave Payne a lot of chances even when Payne let up, but he survived. That was a really high pressure game for him, since he's defending a quarter-final, and a loss would likely have dropped him out of the top 16. Now he has £25k guaranteed and his top 16 position is safe for a while.

Il give Trina the benefit of doubt it could just be nerves & knowing an audience is there, you stick a mic in front of lots of people & it’s like a child going shy, strangely the same people are usually ok on a stage been interviewed but when theres pressure to say something meaningful & interesting instead of the usual played well waffle they clam up

You’d like to think that when any TV company appoints an expert pundit they would go to the trouble of screen testing them beforehand.
