Nice to see another country represented at this year’s Worlds.

If I remember correctly, De Sousa was 1 match away from getting a tour card at last year’s Q school.

Courtesy of Burton.

Ryan Searle is provisionally in the final ProTour spot for the World Championship. He can be knocked out if someone not qualified moves into the Top 32 of the Overall Order of Merit in the next 6 weeks.

Interesting that according to the above article, the places from the Development and Challenge Tours will be filled by the highest ranked player not already qualified.

Which is what the rules say I think.

Like if Cadby was to no be involved his place goes to the next available spot on the OOM he came from.

If Max Hopp beats James Wilson in the Last 16, he would provisionally move into the seeds for Ally Pally.

Just got a feeling really don’t see Gary winning it. Can see MvG blowing it at some point in a close game. Other than them I think it’s only likely to be Mensur or Wright though Barney could show up and win it if he gets a bit of luck.
Definitely with you regarding van Gerwen. Just think Ando’s A game is almost unplayable currently. I would absolutely love to see Mensur win it but he doesn’t have a great record at Ally Pally. Perhaps this could be his year.

James Wade back into the provisional Top 10 seeds for the World Championship, as Max Hopp moves into the provisional seeds for the first time at the expense of Robert Thornton.

So according to Burton, a Martin Schindler vs Dimitri van den Bergh World Youth Championship final means that Mathew Edgar has now qualified for Ally Pally.
