Why would he not play it? Is there no money in it?
He isn't allowed to play, because he will qualify through the Pro TourGinge wrote:Why would he not play it? Is there no money in it?
I see. I thought there may be some merit in him playing in it anyway.PreciesJJ wrote:He isn't allowed to play, because he will qualify through the Pro TourGinge wrote:Why would he not play it? Is there no money in it?
Next person on the Pro Tour Order of Merit, at the moment Razma.Snoopdougydoug wrote:Question

Don’t think there is any prize money, if there is it’s based on the final table. In the past free entry to following years Euro events were awarded. Have no idea if it’s still the case.Ginge wrote:I see. Ginge will be all over those averagesThe Jolly Man wrote:The south/west European qualifier is on dartconnect for updates. Over 256 players in attendance
averages are not all of them real. it is the first time we are using the system, we are doing it independently with our own tablets. Dartconnect helped us a lot by guiding us by phone and email of how the system works and helped us with all issues we had, but due to other commitments they couldn't be here. Our volunteers or players loosing the match are not so familiarized to add corectly the number of darts used to end a leg, and this is why the avgs are not reflecting the real games.ChrisW wrote:Ginge will be all over those averagesThe Jolly Man wrote:The south/west European qualifier is on dartconnect for updates. I saw that there were a load of 9ers in one match. Think it’s a great tool.dorkserv wrote:averages are not all of them real. it is the first time we are using the system, we are doing it independently with our own tablets. Next year we will be better prepared and we might have 32 well instructed markers for all boards.
There should be. I know from the last 6 years from my trips to that region darts is rife. The Jolly Man wrote:I saw that there were a load of 9ers in one match. With the great turn out of players at the event is there not the opportunity or appetite to create a tour that covers Spain, Portugal France and Gibraltar?
There is one Spaniard in the PDC top 32 and two more with tour cards. They seem to have consistently had 256 turn up to the Worlds qualifiers. A lot of the other regional tours seem to work with about 64 players an event so you would expect they would hit that. Gibraltar might be small but they do host an event and the JDC is starting to work with locals out there bringing through the next generations. Some sort of tour to get these guys match ready needs to happen to bridge the gap from a one off event and the pro tourChrisW wrote:There should be. I’m sure Reyes did something similar then turned up at Ally Pally, now world top 32ChrisW wrote:Congrats to Sousa. 80 averages though not that encouraging.
