Anyway. Just got home and the coverage has moved to premier sports, a channel I can't get.

viewing figures drop by 1! Back to the football!

Dutch battering Ireland . Some great finishes and the Dutch look unbeatable.Only O'Shea having any luck really 144 out I think.

This is hard watching for TV, the couple of minutes break between legs is a bit silly.

The format is ridiculous anyway.
Just making it more unwatchable.
If that was possible.

I don't know it's not that bad, if they had a good commentator on then it would be easier.

I'm not a big fan of Masters-style sets, but here they would arguably be an improvement. Reduce the squads to 3 players, and play the 9 matchups as best of 3 legs each.

That does sound a lot better.

Re the dead legs it's obvious why guys don't do it. They play best of 25. Cam you imagine if a team went 13 nil up!

So maximum of dead legs in ladies is 4 per game. Still no need imo. Wish I had a transcript of Gwynne comments.

Men play first to 13 but there must be 15 legs played because each player must play 3 legs to gain 1 international cap This is why the dead legs are played in the group stage in ladies as its only 9 legs and men's must play 15 legs ,in knockout situations caps are handed out for any amount of legs played. This is what I was told when I played 2 years ago"

You could make the point about any sport.........
But most international matches in other sports are actually seen by people. There is a want, a demand.

from a personal point of view i would rather the british & scottish & welsh opens was televised than the 6 nations thats currently on that would give 4 big opens with the english open airtime which i feel would be more beneficial

Who sets the rules for what gets you a cap or not? If a footballer comes on as a sub in injury time, never touches the ball and the ref blows seconds later, they still get a cap!

Noone knows how you even get selected to play for England so we have zero chance of ever having being able to fathom out caps

It must be easy, just put the Lakeside champion at the top of the list.
