Wind smear!
Re: New BDO chairman
One would think that an organization that regards itself as relevant enough to award the winner of its main event a "professional" world champion title should not suffer much from one random persons posts in a forum. No matter who the person is or what and how much said person posts.Paddy McGinty wrote:In what way does spreading unfounded rumours about this process help the BDO find it's feet long term? Wish folks would try to respond to the post and not always (though there is a time as place for that) the poster.
I have asked the question over on real fanatics. Someone must know.

Re: New BDO chairman
Absolute shambles, but in all honesty comes as no surprise.
Des, despite him guaranteeing on this forum that he had no interest in taking over the BDO, made a power play, and despite climbing into bed with the EDO, an organisation which previously he had major issues with, it looks like his conniving and/or his self perceived political acumen will come to nothing.
What did he expect, the Williams to thank him for his backstabbing and make it easy for him to usurp their power and influence.
That being said, it is still possible that Des will become Chairman of the BDO, however that is looking more and more unlikely with the passing of time.

Re: New BDO chairman
What a complete and utter farce.
All makes for very sad, and worrying, reading.
A bit like Des (!!) I’m a bit out of the loop here........So, Sue is the current head honcho and Des is lying in wait?
Are Des and Paula looking to ‘take over the running’ of the BDO?

What an embarrasing sham of a board this lot running the BDO are. The AGM will be fucking hilarious.
Re: New BDO chairman
Sue still in charge though oche started a thread months ago that they had resigned!
Des leader in waiting.
BUT he had decided to keep a low profile on social media whilst in the background pleading with the rest of the board to release info. When they did they didn't inform him!
they must have done this deliberately.
Hey, but it is happening so folks will accept all of this (except for folk like Paul who sadly boycotts this page, which if he would realise it are at times, on the same page as him!
