It is embarrassing. On Sunday I flew to Germany and the manager on board was writing a note in big letters in the galley that included the word "Don't" and he put the apostrophe in the correct place.

This was a Portuguese man, working in Germany with a German crew, using an apostrophe correctly in an English word. Yet half the English population can't tell the difference between "lose" and "loose"
