Thats very true. Perhaps its not as bad as I first thought. I forget just how low the starting position is.

The A team are ready.
i have always enjoyed your writing. best of luck to you and i hope BDO is better for it.
Congratulations and very well done, here’s to a new modern future x
And one more
Doesn't matter, BDO will be dead soon anyway. The state of the organisation is a laughing stock, and that's coming from someone who has stuck up for the BDO.

Seen a post elsewhere claiming Sue Williams will be the "Finance Director".

Maybe he can save some money by not drawing 20 grand out of the accounts as a salary.
Seeing as he's minted and all that.

Re: The BDO AGM Farce thread
To be honest, good luck to him. He has a lot of work to do.
Let's see if he can put his proposal to practice.

A difference of 2 votes apparently.

Agree completely, whether we like the guy or not has no bearing on whether he will be any good at the job, a strong BDO tour is good for darts.BlueSpark wrote:To be honest, good luck to him. He has a lot of work to do.

Best of luck Des, you're going to need it methinks.

Oche has posted the result as 34-28. So with 66 (?) counties he only just got over half. 4 counties not bothering to vote at all.nikkiboy wrote:Oche is recounting them as we speakBlueSpark wrote:A difference of 2 votes apparently.

He couldnt even put up the news of his victory accurately.
At least Stephen Holland doesn't go round on social media telling people to go fek themselves.
Head of channel 4 says they wont renew the contract, des threatens to give him a slap.
What could go wrong ?

Just shows you why he was so keen to cosy up to Tommy Thompson. How long before he reverts to type and stabs Tommy in the back? Hopefully not long.Ginge wrote:Oche has posted the result as 34-28. Re: The BDO AGM Farce thread
Would he have needed 34 or would a simple majority have sufficed?

Well, it's going to be entertaining if nothing else. All we can do is give him a chance I suppose but I hope he doesn't try to compete with the PDC, that ship has sailed. I hope the new board focus on real grassroots darts as that is where they can make a real difference. A return to #dartsforall would be my measure of success.

Did Des not already give "his word" that he had no intention of ever taking over the BDO

I think abstaining is an honourable decision given the choice! It will be interesting that's for sure. Wonder if any tv news will be out soon?Ginge wrote:Oche has posted the result as 34-28.
