As it currently stands ANYONE who takes on the role with the BDO will fail unless what the 'members' (read dozen or so name players) change what they consider the operating objective of the BDO is and what they what the BDO to be.

Anyone who thinks the BDO can be a viable professional alternative with Major feature events on TV which are awash with prize money and sponsors is seriously delusional to the point of being mentally ill.

If , and this is a big if, somehow sanity prevails and someone had a vision for the masses of weekly , monthly amateur darts players accepted by all then its possibly that someone could succeed in the role.

The deadline for nominations for potential directorships of the BDO was up last night at midnight, which only leaves 14 days to consider the options that is when we know what the options are. I did send a message to the BDO headquarters asking for the information, but to no avail, I did hear on the grapevine one nomination has been rejected if it was about the person I believe, don't think he had a snowball in hells chance and for me wouldn't have brought anything to the table anyway, apart from being a member of an outside darts body. So we wait yet again for information which should have been sent automatically first thing this morning."
