I think you have always said the WC will be at lakeside. Do reckon it is 100% going to happen and be at lakeside? Even without major TV coverage?

Dont think thats the problem, I think the issue is potter wants it on a major station, as does the BDO probably.

Sticking it on Freesports means the BDO have to pay production costs and most of the prize fund. Thats all the savings gone from the bank overnight.

If it ends up on there it will look like the Masters: no presentation, less cameras etc....

They would have to as the BDO would have to pay for the filming.

I was watching that pool on freesports last night.

Its funny that anyone thought it was a good idea to film the pool in full view of the bar and people sat round it, they could have put a screen up or had the camera facing the other way but nope everything going on in the pub live to see.

Like Ginge says if its true its free sports then they are fekked, they dont have the money to cover all the production costs and will end up looking like the Masters and WDT with a couple of wobbly camera, Gwynne and whoever they can find on commentary and the terrible post match interviews.

OH AND SPINNING BOARD GRAPHIC!!!!!!!

The BDO would probably be better off with no tv than putting on another piss poor amateur production on an obscure minor tv channel that doesn’t event hit 10k viewing figures.

All the dick waving in the BDO/EDO war of getting minor events on tv actually devalued the BDO product the day they started paying channels to show the events. (Even if the EDO had a sponsor pay it)

Des is going to need to pull a bunny out of his magical hat to get a major channel to come in this late stage and pay 9 days full production costs.

Lakeside has to go ahead, whether that’s with no sponsor and no tv, but take all ticket monies and hopefully not lose too much money. Only an idiot would bankrupt the company by paying full production costs.

My Mrs 59 years old, when SHE decides to quit darts, that will be it, and we will be doing all the things a heavy darts schedule does not allow. Rather than making snap decisions, you might just try asking, you might not like the answers, but at least it will be the truth!! Now I'll let you get back to your "self gratification" winker.
And people thought his takeover would end well 😂

They had to file new accounts while we were all distracted elsewhere

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... ng-history

These multi millionaires don't seem to be doing so well and I would gather from the figures they have had to sell a property and an expensive car to prop things up

This probably explains the rapid advertising of Paula and her events
