And did it cross your warped mind that if she enters she would p*ss off the county who she plays for and who presumably now sponsors her, the chairman of which is now the BDO chairman?
When part of that sponsorship is having to partner the spouse of said new BDO Chairman in Pairs events.
Indeed. Just cant see her entering given all the above, if she does then she would be p*ssing off a lot of people within the county she plays for. If she is happy to do that, then fair play.
For anybody wondering go look at Mark Wilsons facebook and that will give you all a good indication as to why nobody from Lincolnshire will be entering.
No no no no Winmau will force her to enter it!

The jist was posted on here when it happened.

A very rough summary is he was a very good player for Lincs and it went sour once he got his tour card this year.

Great interview with Lorraine Winstanley. Have posted this before, but she just comes across as such a genuine and honest person.

Good time for her and her husband, one of a select few in the bdo who can take a joke and do not need to resort to threats.

When I made the "on the buses pic" they took the pic, and the joke for what it was intended and got them made into t-shirts. Fair play to them.

cracking interview! She came over so well.

She talked about not entering the last PDC ladies WC; because the board didn't say if her chance of playing for England was going to be affected or not. Hope this new board at least respond to questions from the players

I am sure she said she was pretty sure the BDO 'calendar' was going to fall to pieces? Anyway she has not booked anything yet because of the uncertainty.

I did like her encouraging ladies to enter even if they didn't think they had a chance of winning. Good entry numbers could bode well for the future.

This whole story shows:

The power of the PDC. 2 slots announced and the interest in ladies darts just goes through the roof.

The potential of ladies darts. I get it that many folk don't like ladies darts and believe it hinders the BDO somewhat. I do wonder if any of those folk (on here) are beginning to see that ladies darts could actually be more successful (in the PDC that is) than they thought before?

The state of the the BDO. Once they had an monopoly of young players but they didn't do much with it. Look at the darting world now. same with ladies darts. maybe in a couple of years folks will think that the BDO blew it re promoting this unique aspect of the BDO?

This could actually help the BDO if they decide that let the ladies play in the qualifier and allow the 2 qualifiers for Ally pally to play at Lakeside too

It could be a big positive for the BDO if they got shot of Ladies darts to the PDC.

If the 2 qualifiers are from the top load of players that have entered and are already in Lakeside, If there banned from Lakeside, They will have to go further down the rankings to get the 16.

Do people think the Ladies WC will be less of an achievement if the 2 don’t play.

No guarantees the qualifiers will be from people who have already qualified for Lakeside as I have read some Asians coming over.

If it's Lisa/Lorraine/Fallon/Deta that qualifies from the UK and Ana/Aileen/Sharon from the rest of the world I can't imagine anyone not thinking it takes away from the Lakeside title. And tbf, I think it's 90% chance two of these will be the eventual qualifiers.

The BDO should imho take advantage of the extra publicity this generates, can't hurt to have some extra exposure.

Or, like everyone else, no one understands the BDO’s logic
