Are you sure that was a PDC ladies tour? Methinks you are mistaken.

It wasn't a tour as such but the PDC gave them the opportunity to qualify and play in a world championship, this only ever happened for one year. A full tour is more commitment for lady players, after what happened on the first atempt do you think the uptake will be greater for the girlies having to commit even further?

When?
Well sort of tour leading up to World championship, 20 qualifying tournies plus World qualifiers. They only paid a measly £10,000 to the winner, should be the same as the men's final, talk about discrimination.
What did Lisa Ashton spend her £100k on Pads?

I still can't remember such a thing happening. Methinks you will have to post some proof.

I can really see the PDC stabbing the BDO in the back here.

People seem convinced that the BDO should 100% let the ladies do what they want as it will help the BDO as they are the only organization with a ladies game and hence it will help with exposure.

If the PDC told all the ladies the day of the qualifier "they were doing a ladies tour next year alongside the challenge tour and by entering today you all have free entry at Qschool for this year to get the ball rolling.......you just need to walk away from the BDO" the PDC would destroy BDO ladies darts overnight.

Its obvious the PDC want UK Sport recognition as the official body. Offering a spot at the worlds to a women is a great media piece and get the ball rolling but they need full events to finish it off. By offering the qualifier as free entry they have a room full of ladies all ready to make a big announcement.
They've already tried this and it failed, what will make it different this time?
They tried to do a tin pot world champions that wasn’t supported by the ladies

This time they are offering them a place at their biggest event and already 6 of the worlds top 8 have entered

If they get 128 each event then you have a group of ladies you can work with

Offer them entry to qschool for the incentive of joining the new tour. that gives them entry to the uk open and all the Euro tour qualifiers and challenge tour and then tack on their own tour to it

Promise the top lady each year a tour card and promise the ladies places will be in place for the future and you have an incentive for them to jump

Last thing would be a ladies tournament on tv but you could work around that (have a wsod event have a ladies tournament running alongside it or something

Have they booked the Millennium Stadium for the meeting given how many board members there are?

Paddy being a bit naughty.

when the PDC had their ladies WC the top prize was the highest in ladies darts. Only after this was announced did the Ladies see an increase at lakeside to the same amount.

If the PDC told all the ladies the day of the qualifier "hey were doing a ladies tour next year alongside the challenge tour and by entering today you all have free entry at Qschool for this year to get the ball rolling.......you just need to walk away from the BDO" the PDC would destroy BDO ladies darts overnight.

.
Do you really think it would destroy ladies darts in the BDO if this happened?

And I it did 'destroy' ladies darts what kind o impact would it have on the men's game? Some think ladies darts holds back the BDO. For me having the ladies tour diminished as to be destroyed would seriously dent the morale of the BDO, at the top end.

Do you really think that they will get 128 ladies committed to a tour as you suggest? I have nothing against the ladies game but I doubt that very much.

I have said this before but over 700 Ladies play County Darts every County Weekend so to get 128 you are onyl really asking for 2 ladies from each British County to turn up.

If they can't be arsed to do that then they don't deserve anything offered to them by a professional organisation

I still maintain that given the right circumstances with correct marketing that there are probably a very large mass of ladies / young girls whom would be interested in tournament darts that didn't more or less insist that you had to come up thru the BDO / County System etc.

Bit hard to cancel a flight that's already been booked and paid for to Germany.

Any restrictions wont matter to some players, They will still go for it.

foggs thinking there that no other player in the first round would be capable of beating a player averaging mid 90's....What a tool!!
Of course she can get beat they could adv 100+ but I think she has best chance of causing an upsets if she entered over that format
