There is something on every weekend isn't there? Unless they made it midweek, which also would have got people moaning, it was always going to clash with something.

Paul has said Deta is doing the qualifier. What's this about?

The tweet I posted a bit back doesn't read that way at all.
Clearly North has the wrong end of the stick.

Be funny if those attending were banned and next year's ladies events were just Paula v Deta.
it would be a disgrace if they are banned expect the two Qualifiers...and i do not understand any women with ambition or class or whatever, who does not give it a go...

And yes there mayb 700 lady’s playing county darts problem being is that 650 of them are throwing 10 to 15 aves every month think u call it making the numbers up
No sorry I didn't mean it in that way of winning the world's I meant it as in a (almost completely) unknown lady could easily be out there who would walk through the qualifier or to put it in simplier terms the best lady dart players are not necessarily involved in any form with the BDO system.
Lol that’s wot I thought u meant. But thought I better check. I still think that spurs will win the champions leauge though

Free entry for a chance to win £7500 (or more!). Outside of winning Lakeside that has to be the biggest prize in ladies darts.

Why would anyone NOT give it a go. Especially someone with a decent chance of winning?
Just a thought - maybe because they are not good enough? Fewer than 10 players can win a place, because fewer than 10 players have won every decent ranking tournament since Lakeside.

And out of interest, how different will the experience be of a PDC floor qualifier compared with a normal open for the vast majority who attend for a laugh or Lakeside points? I'm just not sure 2 places is enough for the average women to think it's worth it.

Not a wish, but definitely a fear!

Sorry but both scenarios are not happening.
Well said.

Thon little chinese lady that represented her country in the PDC world cup should forget about it.

I find this incredible. Words fail me.

Are people just not grasping the fact that financially the BDO is on its knees:
-It has pissed off it’s #1 sponsor who has pulled their money out.
-It sounds like they’ve pissed off their #2 sponsor who is guaranteeing the prize money for the World Championship and may not guarantee it at all.
-An organisation led by a bully with no discernible acumen in dealing with media, TV etc. There is no TV deal in place at all for ANY tournament.
-By pissing off sponsor #2 and moving the tournament elsewhere will kill off the tournament in the eyes of fans and as such will be watched by no one.
-Constant talk about discussions with investors just sounds like bluster and nonsense you get with a lower league football club when they get taken over by bad owners.

And to sum it up, turning down a FREE ENTRY (which I find a bit disrespectful to the others who have to fork out for these qualifying tournaments) to play for £7.5k.

These guys don’t get it. And don’t deserve it.

Rant over.

He would be if that's what he actually said, but as it is a typical misrepresentation of his words, then he's alright.
