Arnt these the newish events that popped up in the last 5 years with promise of a big prizefund but entry was high and needed to be well supported?

They are catering for too few people now, didnt even get 128 (which you would think is your bare minimum you base your tournament over) in the first year.

The opens will be around as long as the organizations are, all these "classic" and "masters" events will die off soon.

I just notice Ethel same thing with regards to Lakeside not being mentioned. Someone certainly doesn’t seem to want to be building bridges.

At the end of the day if Potter is dragging his feet because of the lack of mainstream tv. What does anyone think someone else would ontinue with the sponsorship he curently provides

Havent seen any results anywhere other than the final, but the points have gone on now:

Winner (14 points) ; Robert Douthwaite
Runner Up (12 points): Ross MacDougall
Semi finals (10 points): Alan Soutar, Alan Small
Quarter finals (8 points): Ryan Hogarth, Mick Nixon, David Kirwan, Norrie Dick
Last 16 (6 points): Dayle Morgan, Gary Stone, Steve Buchan, Campbell Brogan, Colin Feeley, Jamie Munn, Raymond Singh, Wayne Morris

Ryan Hogarth is the highest ranked player this season of that lot, now ranked joint 81st....
