Someone in the comments claiming it used to be £2k. No idea if he is right or not but £500 is a pittance.

Finnish open being stopped because it loses money, other tournaments around the world being cancelled or being threatened of cancellation (unless Paula has entere) so promoters offering realistic prize money they can afford.
It's sad but not unexpected.

Had no idea. The pitiful fund though deserves it's own thread.
