He talks about the need for change once again but then thinks they would run a 4 challenge tours on a weekend with 600/700 players not thinking the PDC could reorganise the Challenge Tour faster than the BDO could put up a website.
It's all nonsense anyway. There obviously aren't anywhere near 600 players who are ready to shell out £1000 in CT entry fees and probably the same amount for travel each season without being good enough to make back a significant amount of that in prize money. Heck, there aren't anywhere near 600 players who are playing 5+ BDO/EDO tournament weekends in a year either, despite the lower costs and easier level of play.
What's the average on a CT weekend? 200?

And there I was thinking Potter decided these things on his own.

The only thing that could have caused this delay in announcing lakeside is arguing over sponsorship (i.e. tv)- which has a knock on to ticket prices.

A farce.
I think ticket sales will be the worse yet for Lakeside, especially mid week.
And if it's on premier sports or something then it's game over for bdo.
But
I still think ch4 to be honest, they have just bargained them down to a much lower fee.

According to dartconnect 169 have played 12 or more matches over the 12 tournaments they have on there.

242 have lates 6 matches or more. 295 players are on in total.

According to Servasport:

first weekend 241 / 240 / 233 / 228
second weekend 238 / 241 / 234 / 233
third weekend 202 / 202 / 199 / 190
fourth weekend 154 / 153 / 147 / 143

(Insert "Challenge Tour already losing its appeal" follow-up trolling here.)

Looking at BDO there are probably about 500 players who have scored two ranking points finishes but would guess at somewhere about the 250 mark when you strip all the non eu players.

Who the hell thought of those match ups?

You can watch MVG v Wright in most tournaments and I'd rather see Adams v Wright and Durrant v MVG than the BDO's two biggest names playing past their best Dutchmen.

Probably MVG asked for Wright. I heard Durrant beat him.

Yes Nick, I cannot understand for the life of me that in a exbo billed as "Netherlands vs Uk" they are not having Adams and Wright play each other.

Perplexing. Baffling, even

Every day that passes it's looking less and less likely that it will be at Lakeside, starting to look like what will be put on will be more like the WDT than the World Pro.

I wonder if they have considered the Circus Tavern? would be less humiliating than Preston.

Official word from Lakeside

"Still dont know anything, not kept informed"
"BDO have a meeting planned this weekend, then announcement next week" (This has been their go to response to anyone for the last 4 weeks now)
Aware the BDO have changed the website, was only told this morning and they are "baffled by it"
"BDO have been, lets say, slow, with us this year"
