They are one of the few major bookmakers without a big PDC tournament sponsored by either their Paddy Power or Betfair brands.

Or to spin this news a totally different way, they replaced one sponsor with another.

If true that C4 are the broadcaster then definitely means Lakeside gone from C4.

PDC don’t allow their broadcast partners to show BDO.

Looks a smart move by PDC as they offered BBC a new made for TV exbo to get them to stop showing Lakeside.

Although going back to this, Channel 4 do seem to have wiped all darts content from their website, unrelated news but I think that may confirm it anyway.

Going to the Channel 4 website and searching for "darts" yields no results. Used to be videos and news on there from the last two Lakesides.

I know the Champions League is on BBC.

If you read the OP it said new PDC tournament coming to C4 nothing to do with BBC and Champions League.

Where does it say there's a new tournament? This is for the CLoD.

I'll have what Malcy's having.

Oche seemed to edit his op, the first lot of replies are to a new event on C4 as well so it would seem that’s how he started the thread then ameneded the title.

Thank you. Wasn’t going mad misremembering :)

Thread was obviously started by OP seeing Paddy Power had announced they were sponsoring a PDC tournament and because at that time there was no existing tournament they sponsored it must be a new one on C4. 2 + 2 = 5 :)

Only later in the day did the PDC announce that Paddy Power had replaced the existing sponsor of the BBC’s Champions League.

So either Paddy Power announced too soon or PDC announced the switch too late.
