Maybe that's why this DBG character bottled it.
I'd be fuming too if I'd worked hard all year playing money games to get myself up the Imaginary Order of Merit and had nothing to show for it in January.

They only mention one achievement per player, had they left out the fact he won Lakeside twice you would have the Fanatics slapping away at their keyboards in disgust.

Qualifiers are open draws. It's supposed to be where you prove yourself. It can lead to some unfortunate draws, but they have 4 days to accumulate points, and somebody would have to be very unlucky to end up playing lots of early games against the best players.
Re: 2019 Q-School
I'd love to know a fanatics opinion on the lakeside players at Q-School. Previously the opinion seems to have been "to hell with them no loyalty etc" However now if all the lakeside players failed at Q-School it would make the lakeside look incredibly inferior. However on the plus side the players would go back to the BDO which helps their strength in depth. Conversly if the lakeside players are supported and qualify then it leaves a huge gap in the BDO talent pool. geniunly intrigued to hear Paddy, Mongoose, thelad etc's opinion.

Nobody cares anymore.
Re: 2019 Q-School
If you compare the top BDO players' ages and compare them with the PDC you just see a wider spread. More young players, more old players. What you'd expect of lower-level competition.Thehateful180 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 7:04 pmIt's more like a crematorium conveyor belt these days big fella.Moongoose McQueeen wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 5:00 pmGood luck to them. Re: 2019 Q-School
MORE countries than ever before are being represented at PDC Qualifying Schools in 2019, reflecting the continued worldwide growth of darts.
Following an incredible 2018 campaign, hopefuls from 43 nations across five continents have travelled to UK and European Q Schools as they bid to secure a PDC Tour Card for the next two years.
The previous record number of nationalities attending Q School was set in 2018 with the introduction of European Q School for the first time.
That figure was smashed at the start of January as 249 players from 32 countries competed at Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Germany, with 11 players securing Tour Cards following four days of competition.
A total of 397 players from 11 nations have entered the UK Qualifying School, which will be held from January 17-20 in Wigan.
There will be 19 PDC Tour Cards on offer at the Robin Park Tennis Centre, with the final two players on each of the four days winning an automatic PDC Tour Card.
In addition, players will earn ranking points per victory in each full round of the event (which does not include Byes), which will be used to form the UK Q School Order of Merit, from which the top 11 players will win Tour Cards.
Follow DartConnect and pdc.tv from January 17-20 for live results from UK Qualifying School, which starts at 1030 GMT each day.
All games are the best of nine legs.

Re: 2019 Q-School
Nice but misguided thanks oche i'd still rather that than be dillusional and ignorant to the facts like some BDO fanatics and even the chairman of the BDO. You on the other hand seem to accept the BDO's posistion as the amateur tour which acts as a feeder to the PDC or a step down for players at the end of their careers or in a dip of form.oche balboa wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 5:10 pm Clemy seems a nice but misguided lad. Des's comment on bringing the BDO back to where it was 20 years ago in terms of posistion of strength were hillarious though.
