Because of the BDO influx
Big part of it.

phil davies wrote: Thu Jan 17, 2019 5:06 pm Fair play to Jamie Hughes he is playing awesome today. One game left to go for him and throughly deserves a card given his performances.
I’m sure a few were saying he wasn’t good enough the other day and he wouldn’t get a card  ;-)
Not me I never said he wouldn’t get a card.
It must have been someone else... you picked him in the comp then to get a card ;-)
Nope but also didn’t pick Harry Ward who I also thought had a good chance. Well done to those who did pick them both though. Did pick Shepherd however so that’s a posotive from today on the comp front.
Think two of us picked both Ward and Hughes, but out of the 2, Harry Ward will be by far the better pick.

This is what I was alluding to in my earlier posts, highlighting the fact that Glen's performance will have little impact on the overall Competition results as all but 1 entry have picked him. Early days but those who have picked a relatively unfancied qualifier over the first 3 days will be in a decent position to win the Prediction Competition.

Very enjoyable day. And yes, 100% because of the top bdo players , all of whom I would like to see go through , especially Conan and of course Durrant. Anything to spice up the Pro Tour which I stopped following closely a couple of years back.

I genuinely want Durrant to get a card
Would like Menzies to get one as well
not bothered about waites or whitehead though

But q-school has been an eye opener to the bdo fans who foolishly thought being a top player meant q-school was going to be a walk in the park.
The gulf between the codes was truly shown up today.

There are 3 more days.
McGeeney made the last 4 so should just need one more good day to make it on points.
Baker: last 16
Whitehead and Williams (who lost to Harry Ward): last 32.
All of them made it there with good performances.

Is Whitehead a better player now than he was when he struggled on the tour just a few years back?

Jamie Hughes quote.

"This has always been the dream for me and I'm over the moon to win my Tour Card on Day One," said 32-year-old Hughes.

Not winning Lakeside. Winning a PDC Tour Card was THE dream.

You are posting absolute pish. And wtf has Cammy to do with the BDO. Even for your trolling purposes, if you are including Menzies, you also have to include Hughes.

As you can see from today's overall average the men from the BDO were pretty competitive.

Agree with Gary about Waites though, never take to him in interviews.

Really ?
So Durrant , the reigning lakeside champion averaging 90.4 qualifies as competitive ?
90 wont cut it on the main tour. In fact in the grand slam his 100 plus could not cut it and get him out of the group.

Waites lost with an 85 average. He won Lakeside TWICE with an average like, even reached the final last week with an 85 average, again FACTS.
85 is not competitive in the PDC might win titles in the BDO , it wont get him a tourcard. Thats the difference.

McKinistry went out last 512 with an 86 averages.

The only one spouting pish is you with your "competitive" bullcrap.
or will this post be disapproved as well for stating some home truths

Yozza looks like hes lost weight whereas Wand looks like hes bringing the typical darts player image back.
