I don't think any of us seriously believe that the BDO can pick whom they want with a total free hand Barry Hearn would never be that naive lol
2019 Q-School
Re: 2019 Q-School
Re: 2019 Q-School
He did. But the Slam wasn't ranked then. If Durrant wins a card tomorrow (or Waites) and the BDO put either of them in as they did with Bunting then the question I am asking is; will the money they win in the Slam be added onto the PDC OOM since neither qualified for the event as PDC players. This is the first year this potential situation has cropped up since the Slam became ranked in 2015.

Yes because money goes on because they are tour card holders, not from how they get there.Murphio wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 6:39 pmHe did. But the Slam wasn't ranked then. Re: 2019 Q-School
Todays tournament average was 79.2
Yesterday was 80.1
Euro Tour day averages
Day 1 - 76.3
Day 2 - 76.3
Day 3 - 76.3
Day 4 - 76.4
For comparison
Pro tour (Tour average 90, 79 players averaging over 90)
Challenge tour (Tour average 81, 5 players averaging over 90, 136 over 80)
Development tour (Tour average 74, 1 player averages over 90, 46 over 80)
I did make this post about a month ago and so far it seems to be holding up

Id recommend anyone doing Qschool to study the stats on darts connect to see where you need to be. Its looking at the minute that to get a tour card your going to at a minimum be able to average in the mid-late 80s possibly into the the early 90s for the weekend and ever then to keep your tour card you need to be able to average 90 all season over 20 events to get into the top 64.
Anyone wanting to do challenge tour purely need to be in the mid 80s to get into the money for the season, late 80s for the top end of the rankings
Development tour an 80 average would be enough to get into the money parts of tournaments.
Re: 2019 Q-School
If that is the case then it begs the question of whether it would be fair - essentially Waites and Durrant (if they win cards) would be starting their PDC careers with at least 3k guaranteed on the PDC OOM before they throw a dart - assuming both finish bottom of their group at the Slam.Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 6:47 pmYes because money goes on because they are tour card holders, not from how they get there.Murphio wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 6:39 pmHe did. I have done in reply to a post
but it may be swamped by all the "where are the pdc haters now" posts being made by the celebrating fanatics. Of course if you mention how duzza is doing then it's all 'form is temporary, class is permanent" stuff.
Does seem like the 'traitor ' vibe has gone. Loyalists are so rare these days.

Two good days so far and Durrant can take heart from the fact his main opposition for next years BDO WC are leaving or are on course to leave.

Am I correct in thinking that after the last two days Q school has stopped being a lottery again?

It's a lottery if you are a Lakeside champion.Buzz Fledderjohn wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:11 pm Am I correct in thinking that after the last two days Q school has stopped being a lottery again?
For the rest it's pretty much a piece of piss.
