Re: 2019 Q-School
Anyone picking up points tomorrow has the advantage on countback , also worth noting.

James Kempster is a Wrexham lad that lives up in Barrow-in-Furness, been extremely handy locally for the past few years and has started winning a few comps in the North West.

Re: 2019 Q-School
Anyone know what the tiebreaker rules come down to on the Q School OOM?
Does it go on countback from day 4, 3 etc or is it on games won? legs won?

Zapp, could you explain the tiebreak rules for me? I thought the tiebreak was on countback from the last events result so with James Kempster earning 5 points today, does that make him the highest place on 9 points?Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:57 pmSee my previous post if he gets to the last 32 he’s guaranteed a cardfoggs3355 wrote:So do we think if glen makes last 32 get 11 points that be enough I think Lisa will need last 8 run to sneek a card

Games won, so getting a prelim actually does you a favour.deadlydiego wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:51 pm Anyone know what the tiebreaker rules come down to on the Q School OOM?

Announced on FB that he's missed the plane and is playing tomorrow.samtyler1973 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 5:41 pmIf he had the bottle he would F*** the exhibition off to try and get the card
Re: 2019 Q-School
If Durrant gets 11 points I think it will be enough.
He has very good legs won and leg difference and if that's the tiebreaker give him an extra half point, so he's on 11 1/2.
Now unless someone on very low points wins an automatic card, that would put him on 3rd, with, currently:
1 player on 10
7 players on 9
9 players on 8
5 players on 7
9 players on 6
From 3rd, 9 players would have to overtake him and _not win the automatic cards_.
Then to overtake him, the players on the same points now or below would have to reach the last 16 at least.
There are ...
8 x last 16 losers: 4 points: players on 8+ could overtake
4 x last 8 losers : 5 points: players on 7+ could overtake
2 x last 4 losers: 6 points: players on 6+ could overtake
(Plus 2 automatic spots)
So, if Durrant gets to the last 32, to be overtaken, there'd have to be a decent proportion of the players currently ahead do OK, plus a good number of "right" players below do well, and not have players end up knocking each other out. If they seeded the last day based on points, it might increase the chances of needing 12 points to make it than in an open draw where better players can end up knocking each other out early.

Countback on latest days has always counted first.
Then matches won.
Then matches won.

Wins first, then legs won then legs difference.

Re: 2019 Q-School
Gonna be one crazy day tomorrow, gonna be all about getting a favourable board draw. What odds on Durrant & Williams being on the same board again?.
Re: 2019 Q-School
Really pleased for Reece. Was talking to him last week about the TV game v Whitlock back when he first came to prominence. Seems settled and happy? The standard he was playing at when still basically a kid was unbelievably good. Well deserved chance earned today
