The leg he won must have felt like a nine-darter.

I know Keith Carter played poorly at Q School and has come in for ridicule on both forums and social media.

Seen tweets articulating he was very nervous, but playing under the kind of pressure he felt at Q School must surely benefit him in playing whatever darts he does. Dont know if he is a Super League or just a pub player, but the experience will have done him the world of good, and would be pretty sure his averages and game will improve going forward.

I had just assumed that he was there for fun, like paying to play in a pro-am.

(I wouldn't mock his ability in absolute terms. I have an arm like Emu.)

Guess he just entered Q-School for fun. Was thinking about going as wel, but thought it was not worth to pay 450 quid for that. Development Tour alot cheaper.

Surely you could get an interview with him Pieter. Would be an interesting little piece.

Nobody knows his story but I'd bet he isnt as sad as Internet critics who have nothing better to do than criticize him.

He's a pub player who's got a few quid by all accounts.

Has just had a few days of fun for his own entertainment

Back in the day you could even sneak onto the Pro Tour by doing that too.

Step forward, Andy Relf.

No no no, apparantly he is a PDC professional because this was a PDC event and so everyone who enters is a PROFESSIONAL and so must be amazing and we should laugh at them when they hit shit averages and call the PDC bullshiters for calling themselves PROFESSIONAL.

Or something.

When you put yourself in the public eye like he has, you have to expect a variety of opinions. Most of what I've seen has been sound advice. For example, you're not good enough to be entering a JDC event, let alone Q School.

Blimey leave the poor bloke alone, its his own money which he's used and as long as he enjoyed himself whats the harm. If you want to blame anyone then blame the PDC for letting anybody enter Q-school so long as they pay entry fees. The only other way around it is to have more localised Q-Schools which then feed into a final Q-school for the top members of those regional events. I quite like the idea that joe bloggs from the duck and dog can play the BDO world champion in an open event.

I see Justin van Tergouw replaced Durrant in the King of darts exhibition he was down for on Sunday.
Next one is tonight and finishes tomorrow night.
England 3-1 Netherlands at the moment.

I think it is quite admirable that he entered Q School because he can.
If I had the money then I would do exactly the same thing.
