Re: PDC Premier League 2019
I kind of didn't care before, I didn't really want him in but accepted it is an exbo after all, but now I think Barney could really embarrass himself if he gets picked this year. He might pull out the one big result in 9, but the Worlds is the one event he normally gets up for, and completely flopped last night. Don't see any way he wouldn't finish bottom

At least he isnt saying he is 100% in, as some have suggested.

Re: PDC Premier League 2019
And neither should he quite yet as it would (almost certainly) be a SKY pick, probably not a PDC one so it's not his place to give. Right back when it was first discussed my feeling was that he is probably in unless someone does something amazing at the Worlds as it would make it very interesting because I think there are 9 very well deserved places/players + Barney. if another player apart from Barney got moved out to make way for AN Other (say world finalist from outside the 9) then I don't think it would be fair.
Re: PDC Premier League 2019
At least Hearn has said Barney's a big name.
Re: PDC Premier League 2019
I think that Barney in his farewell year is 100% deserving on a PL place considering what he rid for the PDC after his switch..

The Wizard is out
Re: PDC Premier League 2019
Haha, no. Sometimes some trouble to find the forum.
Anyway was hoping for Whitlock to be in the premier league. Which could have been a tough decision after a good run, but after tonight they can easily leave him out.
Re: PDC Premier League 2019
He was always a borderline case anyway, but yes, last night seals his fate.

apart from the "unknown lithuanian" (the author must attend the dave clarke school of knowing players) a very decent summary , deserves a broader audienceBeppeBergomi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 11:15 am My latest blog on the Barney saga.

After a year of posting for my Maltese audience I have decided to go international with the hope of getting a better audience, (remember, the blog is not only on Darts but covers other sports which I follow such as football and Formula 1).
Regarding Labanauskas, yes let's say that I don't have full knowledge of all and everyone so I will give you that.

Re: PDC Premier League 2019
I know that it won't happen as I think that Michael van Gerwen will beat Michael Smith in the final BUT if, for the sake of argument Luke Humphries and Ryan Joyce makes the final, will they still have the courage to overlook these two in order to waste a Premier League wild card on Raymond van Barneveld?

Re: PDC Premier League 2019
If Dolan wins today or if Aspinal makes the final barney will drop another place to 29th.
He can actually drop to 30th is Dolan, Aspinal or Humpries vs Joyce is the final.
Really cant see how they shoehorn Barney in.

Re: PDC Premier League 2019
Whens the last time a world champ finalist didnt make the premier league? Whitlock, Hamilton, Wright all made it with there runs. So it be pretty hard to ignore Dolan, Aspinall, Joyce or Humphries if they was to make the final.
Chizzy is 1 win away from the premier league.
