Didnt say that. But what do the BDO tell Potter when he asks what is going on with TV?The Jolly Man wrote:So have sportotal told them not to engage with Lakeside? Oh dear oh dear. But not his fault, he has merely inherited the old contract.
But its a vicious circle as surely whoever is broadcasting it wants to know what venue it is at?

They should stop calling it the 'world pro' because so far it's just a amateur shambles.

A look at their website confirms they have done nothing for over 2 years now.markymark wrote:What have they done anyway? Just because there is nothing on the website does not say that they have done nothing...I don't feel the need to post something on the internet every time I take a shite!!Ginge wrote:A look at their website confirms they have done nothing for over 2 years now.markymark wrote:What have they done anyway? Have sportotal ever had any of their deals they've negotiated for the BDO renewed?

Unless I'm missing something very obvious.
Just to actually explain my point from earlier, the one that Oche missed: if they had actually done anything else for anyone it would be on the website or as a press release somewhere.
The only two deals on there as news articles relate to Lakeside 2017/8 and the Masters 2017. Both the same client and both well over a year old.
I'm assuming Des is hoping this deal ends after 2 years rather than any more...

Still uncertainty over Lakeside
Because it should even be lack of communication about the Lakeside in 2019 was a long time whether the tournament would find a passage.
The redeeming answer came during the Winmau World Masters: Lakeside 2019 continues.
But beyond that there is nothing clear. Until today, the location is not yet confirmed, there is no television yet communicated and is also the ticket has not yet started.
With just 80 days before the first match is scheduled, is running out of time

Office address in Bury, but the landline dialling codes are for Macclesfield. Not remotely like to cause anyone to doubt them in the least whatsoever. No sirree.Ginge wrote:No.nikkiboy wrote:Have sportotal ever had any of their deals they've negotiated for the BDO renewed?

Another issue is Sportotal aren't going to be doing this for free.
They will be looking for a broadcaster to PAY for rights so they can cream their fee from it.
They don't have a strong bargaining position tbh.

But according to Pauly, Des et al can do knack all on their own as the previous lot signed the rights away to Sportotal.
