That's very good. Surely this and the other post re one third of tickets sold show what a risk it will be to move from lakeside?
Everyone has piled in during the first 48 hours to buy them after months of chomping at the bit. Will take at least a month, if longer, to double it.
But the big question would they have piled on if a new venue also announced?

Guess we will only know when/if that ever happens. But I think a lot are going to lakeside as a venue with All it's history etc.

those forum posters who got their Wednesday night tickets. Would they have bought them by now if it was at the 02? Or would they have re considered.? Be good to have honest feedback.

13 of us df/TSOD went Tuesday 2018.
18 of us went Wednesday 2018.

So far for 2019 we are at:

9 of us booked for Tuesday next year.
14 of us booked for Wednesday next year.

I don’t think that’s a bad return In two days of tickets being on sale and most of us with hotels booked too.

Proves our commitment regardless of the venue.

Well as the WMC is just down the road, 4 dartboards, a pool table and a jukebox=an afternoons entertainment. Then a quick sojourn up the road to the darts.
What's not to like about that?
If it was at the o2, not sure I would attend. I may well go but it wouldn't be the same.

I don't get the last bit. It is at the same venue. Surely it only proves the commitment at lakeside.

So I guess you reckon numbers would be the same if held at the 02?

And that's my point. How many regulars would also reconsider?

It's something the board would have to consider. Some wouldn't continue to go if moved from lakeside (imo ). That would be needed to be weighed against the predicted new fans a new venue would bring. Supporters of the 02 venue clearly think they can sell large amounts of tickets.

It is a risk though. Can the bdo 'afford' to take it in 2020

Personally I would have gone wherever.

I’m missing the df get together next weekend due to open heart surgery so the World Championships were always on the card regardless of venue.

Am glad it’s Lakeside but would have gone to O2 or Preston.

Jolly heck. Hope it goes well!

Fair point then. You would have gone were ever. Still feel a lot of regulars would reconsider if/when it moves.

The BDO havent gone on a full scale "We are as good as the PDC" they have simply got all there events on TV and the players have the knowledge its on TV. Thats a positive compared to before. Maybe the BDO in its own way can get better. Bet365 are morons who are losing customers hand over fist, It possibly excited you and Bradders but its not even banter, well its Banter from a 7 year old. And people will know its on TV & at Lakeside from it so meh.

I agree about Production, I'm a bit concerned its a 24/7 deal but i dont think a 3 year deal would have been signed without some decent production.

I'm sure Jacklin would have got something lined up for sponsorship or what money is being paid.
You think a bookie are losing customers "hand over fist" because of a tweet they sent out taking the piss out of the BDO?

Delicate flowers if they are.
I did think the director of youth"s reply wad amusing though.
One of the delicate flowers on the bet365 Tweet said he was going to Paddypower instead.

Yes, the same Paddypower who take the piss out of everyone and anyone, including the BDO in the past. Tit .
That's the one.

Well that stage will be gone no way there going to use a 1980s intro to channel 4 programmes think orange & blue may be the colour of choice

Be surprised if they invest in a new stage.

Darts and signed pic posted today to The Sandman, although the postbox will not be emptied until 7 am tomorrow!

That darts wallet is a bit special too! It says “Cowboy” on the front, and Bob has signed it too!

The disdain shown towards this forum from fanatics is very interesting. Especially when some on there post negative stuff but also post on here anti bdo stuff.

apparantly newton and Hamilton are quality guys for coming back home!

real fanatics started off by distancing itself from original fanatics on this basis: we allow criticism.

now you must hail Des and the bdo must be shown in a positive light!
