Seriously though unless they come up with some amazing sponsor that covers everything then it has to be at Lakeside....Lakeside was purposely never mentioned by Little Richard or commentators at the Masters so despite what people say it has not been sorted but I am sure they are discussing the financial options and all that and aren't willing or able to confirm until that is sorted but with each day passing it becomes a bigger farce even though everybody knows they will just announce Lakeside after all this !

Chris has his critics on both Twitter and darts forums, but credit where credit is due.

Offering to pay for a set of darts from the Unicorn catalogue for the winner has seen him go up in my estimation.

Under the circumstances, delaying the confirmation could be a brilliant strategy by the BDO.
If it had been announced months ago, it would have still been ripped to shreds on the forums with questions about whether it could actually be afforded or not, prize money reduced or not etc., any number of things, no doubt dampening ticket sales, with no uptick in sight.

But now, with all the rumors swirling that it may be the last at Lakeside, a hot topic on social media, everyone waiting and watching for confirmation...when it IS finally announced, the pent up demand and interest in what could be the last Lakeside will likely send tickets sales through the roof. Lakeside will be THE place to be in January 2019, as everyone tries to secure a ticket so they can say 'I was there...'.

I think all bar a couple on here don't despise the BDO, if anything we are frustrated and angry at the incompetence of the people who run it and annoyed at the way the players are treated with such contempt.

When i said 66 days I didn't realise at the time that was 31st October (Halloween).

I'm hoping it's some Halloween themed release with Des, Bob Potter and a few of the players in halloween gear.
