Killer for West there, wires the bull for a 170 after a few shoddy visits, goes in 5-5 at the break. 10-6 van Gerwen from here imo.

Are you saying all the decent players from the BDO will walk Q School?

Is he also saying Durrant won’t go Q School??

We have done this before. Durrant himself has said he is BDO for life. Do you think he is a liar????????

Great performance and result from Steve West. :DDDD:

That match swung backwards and forwards. One minute West looked like he was in control, then looked like he had thrown it away. Held himself together well and was a deserving winner.

What a performance from West. MVG didn’t turn up but he kept his nerve all the way to the end

FANTASTIC STEVE WEST! Thoroughly deserved victory, the better player barring the 2nd session for sure, capitalised on an ok but not spectacular van Gerwen, and saves us another Whitlock defeat to the Green Machine.

This tournament is now wide open, a first defeat for MVG in the European Championship since 2013, cannot better Taylor in almost any sense can he?

Great match to watch. Not many times you see MVG lose a match like this. But at last one entertaining match.

Not a liar. He may change his mind. Like many darts players before him.
Although I don't think any said for life. But we will hear more about that later in his career.
If the BDO hadn't completely changed the goalposts then he probably would have been BDO for life...but seeing Channel 4 and BT have gone..seeing no sponsor at the moment....seeing doubts about the prize fund this time and even more so beyond..seeing it's a completely different picture to when he made the statement then he would not be lying...and he'd be a fool not to go to QS

He does have exhibition planned at the friday of Q-School somewhere in England, and on the Sunday in the Netherlands. I got the feeling he won't play Q-School then.

He probably won't...but he'd still be a fool not to...he can make a good living now on the exhibition circuit which he may well be happy with and fair enough...but if he doesn't switch that is where his future will lie..exhibitions ..and to me he is better than than that and a top sportsman should want to try and test themselves at the best level at some point..and he's good enough to do well in the PDC as well..
