And he accepted defeat with typical grace, class and a pat on the back for Simon. How can you not love Steve Beaton?

Steve Beaton is a true legend, a gent, a great professional and superb ambassador for darts!!!

There are many players who could learn a thing or two from Steve!

yeah, loved it when he won Lakeside, it was fantastic.

ahhh, boy do I miss what Lakeside was at its best.

I miss how we always got to see a 180 when they used the side-on camera angle.

So no Saturday afternoon session because ITV4 want to show horse racing instead. Don’t know why the racing isn’t on the main ITV channel given they’ve got the coverage now instead of just showing repeats??

Because the horse racing isnt that great tomorrow, they only put the marquee stuff on the main channel.

Even the Group 1 race at Donny is meh.

Oh so they do have some racing on the main channel then...

Interesting they put it on instead of darts meaning the extra session in front of a few hundred...same next week when the WSoD finals has usually been a two day (weekend) event...

Yes and snooker has been shunted around for it as well and probably is again over the next few months.

What a crowd for Friday afternoon!

Did I hear that right: 75,000 sold over the weekend? Seems a bit high. Maybe I misheard it.

The Racing contract is more important to ITV than darts and snooker. No great surprise there.

3-2 Webster. Bunting needed that double.

interesting to hear that Webster has gone full time, giving up his building job. Picked up a new BMW this week. Let's see if going full time has any bearing on his standard of play/darting career.
