So the ‘talent’ that left in January, did they improve the PDC?
Without question.

Just to make it clearer...

The "talent":
Glen Durrant
Mark McGeeney
Scott Baker
Conan Whitehead

The next 4 players who missed out at the UK Q School:
Menzies, Cameron
Beveridge, Darren
O'Boyle, Martin
Collins, Robert

The next 4 players who missed out at the European Q School:
Rasztovits, Michael
Sedlacek, Karel
Goedl, Christian
Steyer, Sebastian

So you agree the BDO is the weaker organisation?

I'd say that Duzza and McGeeney would get further in the PDC 'World Cup' than Cross and Smith.

Harms, Veenstra, Parletti, Williams, Kleermaker etc. All lads that are thriving under the current regime. If you hand on heart say these boys aren't as good as your Cross, Smith, Chisnall, Suljovic etc, then you're just kidding yourself.

more needs to be done in darts to reduce the health risks associated with such a sedantry game played in pubs/clubs. It seems to be worse on the BDO circuit where all day/weekend comps just seems to be people wondering around eating and drinking.

After all, go and walk round an old peoples home, you very rarely ever see fat people there, just little old men. Very few fat people make it into their 70's

It has been proven that once a player switches to the PDC the pounds just drop off.

Probably not as there is more darts in the PDC so more bad diet and booze.

hmm, not convinced. Anyway, it's a massive problem in darts generally, I was not meant to pick on BDO particularly.
Puts me off a bit. I am playing a lot less darts now that I made efforts to be healthier, and when I do I often just drink diet coke or something. I am having the summer off completely from darts.

I saw a quick video on FB the other day by someone backstage at Selsey I think. When I saw it all I could see was a dozen upcoming heart attacks...
