His alternative really is a pipe dream. Comparing attendances at Lakeside to the Dutch Open - are there any similarities between these events at all? The BDO will not let it go abroad whilst they have control of it, only the WDF can change that.

What has he got to lose? Not as if the BDO/WDF circuit has a shitload of ranking events on his front doorstep, still has to do a fair bit of travelling whatever tour he decides on.

Do the WDF ever accept bids from other nations for the worlds?

Even if they did no other country could keep a rankings table up.

If the wc did tour the globe then surely you couldn't keep the same system that favours northern Europe?
