Cross edges that session on throw, but is yet to really catch fire, either in this match or in the tournament in general

1 in 40320.
Don't start that again. But that seems way too high. If only IFM was here to believe you.

Edit- 1 in 40320 is the probability of the exact order
7, 8, 5, 6, 3, 4, 1, 2

But is is not the probability of the 4 combinations.
I sorry, I read the comment as the permutation drawn. I didn't see the draw.

Probabability of the combination, would be 1 in 105.

All 8 drawn, in 4 pairs, with the pairs in any order.
That's 8! ÷ (2!^4 × 4!) = 40320 ÷ (16x24) = 40320 ÷384 = 1/105

Aspinall v Ross Smith is the most interesting game.

Not really the same odds as any other draw.

Yeah, Aspinall-Smith doesn't have an overwhelming favourite even if I'd imagine everyone is expecting Aspinall to win

Decent enough from Cross, not his best, but took out crucial shots at crucial times against an in-form opponent. Will take some stopping

1/105 is what I came up with in my subsequent post for those combinations. Glad we concur. :D

The big three looking in decent nick for the semis then. Looking forward to this game, Aspinall would be a dark horse against anyone, but Smith is a very dark horse for him now

Despite all the shocks there are still 3 x Premier League players (2 of which are already major winners) and probably the world championship semi-finalist in the last 4...same old faces or something...

Was always going to be, the same 8 players aren't walking through to the quarters on IFM's watch!

He scared them all with his average in the 70’s.
Probably at county today whacking in a monster ;-)

I need Cross and Price to be kept apart in the draw, for prediction comp benefits

Smith has to be unhappy he's second on, as it's not going to give him enough time to rest or quaff a second load of painkillers if he makes the final

The toy boards clearly didn’t work for him ;-)

In all seriousness though well done for qualifying Ian if your reading.
He's also got to thank the PDC for telling Adrian Gray to spot him a leg ;)
