Doesn’t really matter as it says they can enter more than one now
IIRC they have been entering multiple events for at least a couple of years already.
They have but associates went through the main qualifiers route

This year they have to go through the Riley’s route which is a big rise in people doing that route

In defence of Brett, I definitely read somewhere that 1 qualifier only was being mooted. Will try and find it later.
Any luck finding it?

"Being mooted" is totally different to "was an actual rule", ffs.

Not sure why Chester final was best of 9 as rules this year state that all rounds are best of 7 - Jodrill was 3-0 up and lost 4-5 - would have been a bit awkward if he had been 4-0 up and lost 4-5

Any news on who won the Notts qualifier? i know Jabba and Osborne entered, may still be going on if previous years are anything to go by.

I'm going to attend this next year for definite.
Was going to this year, however the wife is now 4
days past her due date and will be dropping very shortly. Frankly, can't wait for three weeks off work.

In previous years its always been best of 9 in the final Steve but rules this year clearly state best of 7 in all rounds - I see that Richie Edhouse lost to Kevin Thoburn in final at Notts - I just noticed that Norwich also played best of 9 leg final last week as well

Kevin Thoburn beat Richie Edhouse in the final , some quality legs and some not so quality but no doubt a bloody long day.

I’ll be having a go at Sheffield on the 16th but i’d Expect a bumper turnout as I think it’s the only one that day.

FORMER finalist Wes Newton will make his Ladbrokes UK Open return next month after winning through the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers on Saturday.

2011 UK Open runner-up Newton lost his PDC Tour Card at the end of 2017, having previously won eight ranking titles and also reached the European Championship final.

He recently competed in the Lakeside Championship and then played at Qualifying School, but after missing out on regaining a Tour Card has now secured his UK Open return through the Rileys Amateur Qualifier route after winning the Chorlton knockout.

Scott Taylor will make his third UK Open appearance when he competes at the Butlin's Minehead Resort after coming through at Rileys Chester.

Scotland's Mark Barilli will compete in a fifth UK Open after winning through at Rileys Greenock.

Kevin Thorburn, 34 from Ashington, won through at Rileys Nottingham, and Lloyd Browning was the Rileys Worcester winner as they secured their UK Open debuts.

Sunday sees the Rileys Coventry knockout conclude the second weekend of qualifiers, with three further weekends seeing the final seven players secure UK Open places.

The Rileys Amateur Qualifiers continue on February 9 at Rileys South Benfleet, with entries still available.

Entry will cost £8 including a drink (£3.50 cashback in Greenock), with entry available online at www.rileys.co.uk/uk-open or by calling the Rileys Head Office on 01908 887 463 if paying with a debit/credit card.

Entries close 48 hours before each event.

All qualifiers will be the best of seven legs. Play will commence at 1200 GMT for each qualifier, with registration from 0900-1130 GMT.

Qualifiers will receive a Rileys shirt to wear during the UK Open, as well as a £100 contribution towards their expenses.

PDPA Associate Members who did not win a PDC Tour Card at Qualifying School are entitled to enter the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers.

Players are permitted to enter more than one Rileys Amateur Qualifier event.

Surely he won't bother going, he hates the PDC and all it stands for.
