phil davies wrote:Best of 7 would suffice as let’s be honest their is going to be a lot of poor darts thrown in the early rounds. Make it best of 11 from the quarters onwards.
It makes sense to set the number of legs according to expected number of darts thrown.
18 darts 83.5
21 darts 71.6
24 darts 62.6
27 darts 55.7
Take 18 and 11 legs as par and adjust.
21 -> 9(.43)
24 -> 9 (8.25)
27 -> 7(.34)

Sharon Prins, Aileen de Graaf and Vicky Pruim out.
Re: World Championship: Women’s Qualifiers 17 Nov Dusseldorf, 25 Nov Milton Keynes
Steffi Luck knocked out de Graaf.
Still an able player then. Not seen much of her on the tour.

Armstrong knocks out Prins.
Another player who has not been playing the tour.

Armstrong was a top player, so not a big shock.ChrisW wrote:Armstrong knocks out Prins.

KHW through to the last 16 as well. Funny thing is that she played MLW in the first round.
(Looking at KHW's results on Dartsdatabase, she's taken 3 and 2 legs off Hedman in the last 16 of 2 tournaments she's played in the last couple of years. The way KH is going, she's going to need to up her game.)
Re: World Championship: Women’s Qualifiers 17 Nov Dusseldorf, 25 Nov Milton Keynes
KHW through to last 8.
At this rate, next year she'll be on the screen as "Not just Kim Huybrecht's wife"
Noijens, who beat Hammond, also through to last 8.
Suzuki beats Lueck who beat de Graaf.

I hope Anna get thru and if either Lisa or fallon get thru tricky game we know Lisa can thru 95+ for 7-8 legs done on tv if start like that she have good chance

Would prefer to see Suzuki. I feel we've already seen the best of Dobromyslova.foggs3355 wrote:I hope Anna get thru and if either Lisa or fallon get thru tricky game we know Lisa can thru 95+ for 7-8 legs done on tv if start like that she have good chance

Today's results seem to confirm that, quite a lot of unknowns knocking out the bigger names.phil davies wrote:I agree. It also as I always say makes a complete mockery of the BDO women’s worlds when they don’t have regional qualifiers. Their are bound to be many women outside of Western Europe who are much better than some of those who qualify by being part of the BDO travel club.1205 wrote:Would prefer to see Suzuki. Let's hope they can also perform onstage, a one of floor qualifier doesn't necessarily yield the best players (GSOD anyone?).

One Dutch player into the quarters
Re: World Championship: Women’s Qualifiers 17 Nov Dusseldorf, 25 Nov Milton Keynes
Wherever she lives, I'm guessing originally Brazil. Not just because of numbers, just seems more Brazilian than Portuguese to me. If she is Brazilian then she probably plays under a single name like Darta.Mgt wrote:South Yorkshire.phil davies wrote:Anybody know where Neuza Beatriz da Cunha Araujo is from?

And not one of the ones you'd expect.The Jolly Man wrote:One Dutch player into the quarters
Where did Anca Zijlstra go by the way? She was on the list but didn't appear in the draw? Not nearly 105 women in the draw either, looks like they put up an incomplete list.

Whoever she is she has just beaten noiijens to go into the semis. Dobromyslova through and will face the winner of the all Japanese quarter final1205 wrote:Wherever she lives, I'm guessing originally Brazil.
