2019 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships 5-13 Jan 2019
Re: 2019 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships 5-13 Jan 2019
What was all that nonsense in the post match interview about saying sorry to someone?
Wasn't very respectful to Williams either.

Paul Brown was at the stage side in a Williams shirt supporting Jim.
Glen gave a celebratory air punch and directed it in the direction of Paul.

Watched bits of tournament and a few decent games tbf . Suzuki winning was fair enough and the men's final is the 2 best players in that system so could be a good one.?Hoping Waites wins as the comparing winning 3 in a row to back when the title was relevant if Mr Personality wins today will be a hard watch. Overall it's been like watching non league footy compared to the Pro side of the game but it's not without entertainment and has a place but how either of these can actually claim to be World Champ is laughable

It is not really a comparable achievement, 3 against the Worlds best versus 3 against not the Worlds best. Not even close.ChrisW wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:56 amWas looking at Eric's three consecutive titles.craigmc wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 10:46 am Watched bits of tournament and a few decent games tbf . It is a good achievement none the less and I admire it hugely, however it cannot be compared to the great man.

No, No, No. Remember Adams 3 World Masters Titles are just as good as Bob Anderson's. The split in darts and all the best players leaving is irrelevant. As were his byes to the latter stages.BlueSpark wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:23 pmIt is not really a comparable achievement, 3 against the Worlds best versus 3 against not the Worlds best. And when he won his Lakeside titles he had to overcome players of the calibre of Phill Nixon in the final.

Is the final at 5pm (as it used to be in the BBC days IIRC) or at 7pm GMT?
Seems as though the BDO can't be arsed to update the initial schedule page everyone wouid bookmark with dates past Jan 10th, and the other official page I found only says "evening session" and the session is much helpfully linked the semi final reports of Duzza va. Williams. Professionalism whereever you look, as the name suggests.
