Definitely If you go to actually watch darts Lakeside is the place to be.
have to say ive never had a bad experience of watching darts a lakeside, yes the place is tired food drink etc etc but for a viewing pleasure of a product (yes its a different atmosphere )although have to say for the diehards at preston this year that to was a good viewing experience from the tables
Probably because they had nobody else in front of them.

i was referencing stage position, height to floor ratio ,etc even venturing to the back on ground floor you still got a view & with the staggered floor further back on ground floor up you could still see even if folk had been there which they obviously wernt it s a good venue imo

Just took a look at one of the days that has no free tickets left (Monday afternoon)

942 tickets left.

Someone remind me what the capacity is again please?

Then again its that first Sunday that has puzzled me. First weekend used to be a sell out. Now the Sunday still has hundreds of tickets available, including a load in the Premium section at the front.

459 sold, so I make that about a third of tickets sold for that session

Or, to put it another way, two thirds empty.

Begs the question then - why say all the free tickets have gone? Try and do a few more ffs, yes flogging free ones is a bit desperate but the place is going to look a bit crap only a third full.

But those 459 haven't all been sold, some have been given away for gratis.
I am assuming the final has nearly sold out at least?

They left it too long to start selling the ticket and confirm the venue. Crazy. All because Des tried to get a new venue and so waited until last possible minute. But apparently he has saved the BDO this year and is taking all the credit for staging the Worlds - even though a venue and sponsor had been lined up for the whole year (Lakeside). Hey ho.

Well it will be at least 53 given away for Monday afternoon, assuming there was the same amount available for each day. Will have still have been blocked out on the sales map though, a county posted a picture of their tickets that had table numbers on them.

Final? I count 379 unsold, so 27% of the total.

Maybe people are giving a thumbs down to the ticket prices? It suggests that the first weekend package isn't doing well either

It is rather expensive. It would be more value if the venue and services were of a better standard.
But when you've had a few, who cares. Bring it on.

Surely if the first Saturday has sold out then the first weekend package has also done the same?
